Selling this for way less then the work and parts cost to fix and restore.   Rarely driven on snow!  Bought this 8 months ago from a welder who restored the body/box to use as a classic presentable truck for a lawn mowing business untill I hurt my back. Welded Heavy duty floor boards and a newer Box with spray fiber liner.  Newer clear coat.   Cab mounts have some rust but are safe.  I was told this truck has a 12 bolt posi rear end when I bought it.

New:  Radiator, front brakes, windshield wiper motor, racing rims, Tye Rod, and windshield (needs swapped.) rear bumper with hitch.    Newer:   Tires, GM goodrich 4 bolt main 350 and TH400 tranny (Aprox 65k miles on both), true dual exhaust (but one pipe needs corrected to sound fine again (aprox $250-350 if business such as Midas does it).

Burns no noticable oil and pulls a heavy half of gravel and or sand as it were nothing heavy.   The only rust I can see is on the cab mounts.

Driver door has a pullable dent from my closing the door with my foot (arms full of groceries) so I will dropped $400 from the price.  Passanger exterior  mirror has a crack but I have a replacement that needs swapped.   Lots of parts (trim and engine) plus a new 4 bbl carb with intake that comes with it I do not need.

Steering and alignment is stable.  Shocks seem stable and well.

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable

Fri, 21 Sep 2012

General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.

2014 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra full configurators truck in

Sat, 15 Jun 2013

You can now put prices to your wildest option-sheet dreams of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. A microsite for the full-size pickup truck twins has been up since January, and now the full-blown configurator is live and ready to take your virtual orders. The only two chassis configurations available at the moment are the Crew Cab with either a short or standard bed - Regular and Double Cab versions will come later. In Silverado flavors that will run you $32,710 for the short box, $33,010 for the standard box, while the Sierra adds a $1,500 premium to both of those prices, and destination and handling for both models adds another $995.
Since these are American pickups the list of modifications is lengthy, but we added $11,450 in just two steps by starting with the Silverado Crew Cab and standard bed, then checking four-wheel drive and the LTZ Z71 package. Our final truck, resplendent in Brownstone Metallic paint, heated and cooled Cocoa/Dune perforated leather seating and tasty details like chrome recovery hooks, and engine block heater and LED cargo box lighting, rang up $57,285 at the candy store.
They'll be on dealer lots sometime this summer, so now's a good time to start practicing your box-checking.

Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs

Thu, 03 Jan 2013

General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum.
