1976 Chevorlet Blazer K5 Cheyenne, Blue & White, Very Nice on 2040-cars

Year:1976 Mileage:18000
Location:

Cottage Grove, Minnesota, United States

The Blazer was my Dads which I have inherited not long ago and have no interest in unfortunately. He bought it from the original owners I believe out of Wyoming. It shows 18,xxx miles which is believed to be actual but I can not guarantee it. My dad always said it was actual that's the best I got. But I would believe there was 18,000 on it before I'd believe it had 118,000 by the way the blazer shows...?? My dad had some body work done to it a while ago (8years) which I believe was minor and think it was just around the rear wheel wells, and repainted the bottom blue of the blazer everything else I think is original paint? There is no serious or semi serious rust only a some minor surface rust spots around the inner fenders. The interior is in very good shape and really does not show much where that I can see at all. There is some cracking of the seat material which I believe comes from being 40 years old... The 4x4 works good and the truck starts and runs and idles very nicely. Not really cold blooded either... The sunroof I believe is original and it is fitted with sheet metal and the glass is not in it. It was cracked I remember and for whatever reason my dad had the body guy fit it with a piece of sheet metal. It does not leak and never has leaked. It looks like someone could put glass back in it with out any problem. The blazer has a roof rack and the back fin I guess I would call it. THe back window cranks down by hand and works good. The blazer has A/C but there is no belt on it and I am unsure if it works?.. The blazer has cruise control but I don't think it is working either.. Otherwise I believe everything works good. All the lights and dash lights all seem to work. THe engine compartment looks very clean. I think I have covered everything the best I can. I chose to put it on auction like this because it seems unique and I am selling as is. Also the tires seem to all be in excellent shape with a lot of tread. Also brakes all work good. Really the only reason this is being sold is I just don't have any place to store it, which is why there is snow on it. I live in MN and I live in town and I can't leave it on my driveway..

Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Vote in our poll below, then feel free to leave a few lines in Comments.

Conquest and controversy conclude the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona [spoilers]

Sun, 26 Jan 2014

If you don't wish to know who won the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona, you should avert your eyes right now. We'll even give you a double-space to skedaddle...
For those of you still with us, the first race in the United SportsCar Championship (USCC) is done, but the discussions about it certainly won't end for a while. Daytona Prototypes claimed the first four overall places, the top spot taken by the No. 5 Action Express Coyote-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Joao Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi, Sebastien Bourdain and Burt Friselle. The 16th and final caution of the race bunched the field up for an eight-minute sprint to the flag, so the first place getter finished just 1.4 seconds ahead of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Dallara-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Max Angelelli. Third place went to Brian Friselle in the No. 9 Action Express Chevrolet Corvette DP, 20 seconds down. Chevrolet power hasn't taken the overall win since 2003, eleven years later it scores a one-two-three-four. The No. 6 Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing ORECA-Nissan 03 scored fifth place, the top LMP2 finisher.
The Prototype Challenge class win went to the No. 54 CORE Autosport team of Colin Braun, Jon Bennett, Mark Wilkins and James Gue.
