Up for sale is a Frame Off Restoration 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible SS Tribute car. 454ci bored to 468ci 450hp. This is the personal car of the dealership owner, sale will not be through dealership.This Chevelle received a frame off restoration in 2014 sparing no expense. Body was stripped and repainted in its factory color, Code K Emerald Turquoise. Has a new steel bolt on 2" Cowl hood that latches and functions as a stock hood does. Body also has custom hand pin striping on it. All factory & SS emblems are also hand pin striped on this car, work was performed by Jody Clark (all pictured). New convertible top with new pads, this is a non power top from factory. New windshield, all other glass is original and in great shape. Bumpers are new, all other Chrome is in great shape, most of it is new, or was re-chromed during restoration. All new weather stripping and seal on the car. Car seals up great. Has new Coy 17x7 5 spoke wheels, with Milestar MS932 Sport Tires Front 225/50r17, Rear 235/50r17 with les sthat 500 miles on tires. Tires show 10/32 on tread gauge. Speedo shows 89,414 miles, but title says exempt, so we have no way of knowing if it is original milesInterior is all redone in its factory trim code 766 Medium Turquoise Vinyl. Bench seat car with B&M Quick Silver floor ratchet shifter. New Sun Tach and gauges. New Ididit Tilt Steering Column with 1970 Corvette 3 spoke steering wheel. Frame was also cleaned and painted during restoration. Aftermarket Tubular upper and lower control arms on front, has oversizer aftermarket rear control arms. New gas tank and sending unit. GM 10 bolt Posi rear end with 3.36 gears. Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
New Chevrolet Silverado to be revealed on Facebook on Thursday
Tue, 11 Dec 2012There's not much to see here, but if you're one of those waiting for the reveal of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, above is the teaser image that Chevrolet posted on its Facebook page. We've seen the truck in form-fitting camo before, and even less can be made out here beyond those seriously punchy Silverado-esque fenders and the knowledge that the projector-beam headlamps teased previously do indeed work. We'll have to wait until Thursday for a full perusal of the "bold exterior design" and "careful attention given to every detail" we've been promised.
Gathering intel and rumors, magnesium and aluminum contribute to the Silverado's weight loss plan, the purported "High Country" top-tier trim will contribute to luxury pickup truck competition and profit margins and the next-generation small-block V8 will contribute to improved fuel economy. On the engine note, there have been rumors of available V6 engines, and when Facebook user John Jones asked "Where's your answer to that EcoBoost Chevy?", the Bowtie replied "stay tuned on the 13th. We think you'll be pleased...".
Along with the "Raise the Bar" tag, Chevrolet says of the Silverado, "You asked, we delivered." You can watch the reveal live on Chevrolet's Facebook page at 9:30 am EST, this Thursday, December 13. The GMC Sierra 1500 will also be there, and we'll see both in person at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey
Mon, 25 Feb 2013If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.
