1972 CHEVELLE IN A NUT SHELL: This is a good running good looking car! It is dark green and the paint is good, the 350 engine runs sweet, the turbo 350 transmission shifts good, the brakes are power and stop good, the car drives good and it power steering, the 12 bolt rear-end is positive traction with about a 3.25 gear, the interior is decent, the wheels and tires nice, the chrome very good and the windows roll up and down good. This is no 100 point show car that you roll out of the trailer at the show, its built to drive, its good, its just not a brand new car.
VIN: 1D37H2R548130 MILEAGE: 105547 TITLE: Clear Ohio title in hand. HISTORY: I cannot tell you a thing other than what I see and inspect.
IF YOU STILL HAVE INTEREST:::: The rest is lots of details about the car, how to buy, how to pay, where the car is and who I am.
WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of
WILL I SELL THE CAR OFF EBAY MOTORS? Yes, I'm not crazy, I know the most of you are not registered on ebay and use it as a research tool.
MY REAL PRICE IS $15,999: That's what it takes to buy the car on or off ebay motors, you dealers wanting to resell have to pay the same. I have been doing this for a long time and I know the game, I don't play it the same as most and I sell every car I put for sell.
PLEASE NO TRADES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, but I will not trade, why should I trade when I have a hot selling car, I don't need motor cycles, boats, jewelry or your used false teeth.
I DO NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY!!!!! I worship on sunday, I spend time with my family and I rest. I'm doing this because I love it, "I need a day off". I will be happy to show you cars 6 days a week, call in advance to set up a time, "I'm 67 years old and life is more than just cars".
Sorry, but I do not do videos: I'm old and don't want to learn and mess with them, I sell my cars anyway.
IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? The underside looks good, but not sanded smooth and detailed for show. The frame, supports and bottom panels all look very good to me. The car has no real thick under coating so you can see the floors good, they look original. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find and the title states none. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a retired mechanic/auto-mechanic instructor/was a Army helicopter mechanic and instructor. When I find a truck or car I like for a good price I buy it fix things and resell for a fair profit. I did not restore this car, I just fixed a few things.
IS THIS A MATCHING NUMBERS CAR? I don't know for sure, I think it is.
IS THIS A REAL SUPER SPORT? No, it has been painted and emblems put on to make it look like one.
PAINT: The paint is very shinny, the car is straight when you look down the sides, the panel fit is pretty good, the doors close pretty good, no dents, I think there is even a ding. If you look with a critical eye you will see some very minor flaw, but its a good paint job. CHROME: The chrome and bright work all looks good to me, the bumpers have no dulling and no rusty pits. The emblems are good and the window stainless decent, but not new.
INTERIOR: No smoke smell, the seat covers are good with some loose tread on the rear bottom, the carpet good, the door panels good and the dash pad good.
UNSERSIDE: Solid, but not painted shinny to put mirrors under at the car show. I think the floors are original, but the back bottoms have been patched. GLASS: The side glasses roll up and down good and look good. ENGINE: Engine runs very good, its a 350 with no knocks or rattles and no bad oil leaks.
EXHAUST SYSTEM: Dual exhaust in good condition, the mufflers look and sound like Flow Masters to me. TRANSMISSION: Its a Turbo 350 that shifts good. REAR-END: It has no bearing noises, no growls, its a 12 bolt, I marked the wheels and drive shaft and its about a 3.25 to 1, this is a good power and highway gearing. BRAKES: Good with a power booster, drums all around. STEERING: The cars drives very good, it is power steering.
WHEELS AND TIRES: Rally wheels that are in nice condition, the tires are good radials.
LIGHTS: They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work, brake lights work, dome light not working.
GUAGES: Gas gauge works.
WIPERS WORK! SPEEDOMETER WORKS!
This was and original air conditioned car, the under hood components are gone!!!!!!
HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE and panel fit? I think the doors fit and open very good, the hood and trunk fit good for the year.
WOULD I DRIVE THE CAR HOME ON A LONG TRIP: I never recommend driving a old car home, I just test drive them and drive them some around town, but I do think this car would drive anywhere.
DID I RESTORE THIS CAR? No!
WHY DON'T I FIX EVERYTHING: It runs the cost up and I have too many projects.
TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard! The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the car, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information. CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com
PAPERWORK: I know what to do! WE DO NOT HAVE A SHOW ROOM WITH OVERHEAD! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the vehicle “come look”. I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my garage in US OR EXPORT "Nations Auto Transport" is located in the Kansas City area: This is a good company that will handle any type of transport in the Call Jim Page....his work number is 816-295-6887 and his email is jpage@shipnat.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. I will take this by PayPal, but not full payment. Option 1: Pay the old school way with green face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the most checks clear, I have had a fake bank certified check. I will take a bank cashiers check with lots of identification and advance notice so I can check you out. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the transfer. I will not give out my banking information until I get your information. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 66 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but lots of them do not impress me at all, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first, I will not stop the listing and wait for a inspector! TRADES: Please no trades!
I do not finance cars! If your going to finance, get pre-approved.
BOTTOM LINE: My price is really $15,999, I am firm and asking more on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down, but I don't like that game. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down.
PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle. Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it! Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place. I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com IS THERE A WARRANTY? No! Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type, they are the way I see the vehicle. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected this vehicle and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to purchase based upon that judgment solely. Pics Aplenty: Meet the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra [w/poll]
Thu, 13 Dec 2012Today was a pretty big day for General Motors, debuting the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks ahead of their official showcase at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now that the dust has settled at GM's big reveal event, we've had a chance to snap dozens of photos of the new pickup pair from every angle.
We already told you the important bits earlier today (click here in case you missed it), but let's recap. Under the hood are three new engines - a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 (you know, a version of the small-block that'll also be found under the hood of the C7 Corvette), all mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2014 model year marks the return of the Z71 off-road package with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and beefier underbody protection. Inside, there's a host of new technology and a greater focus on better quality and refinement.
Some of the nitty-gritty specifics (like engine output numbers and fuel economy) have yet to be revealed, and since we haven't driven the finished products yet, it's hard to say how these trucks will fare against rivals like the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. For now, we can only judge these two books by their covers, and while we do like the designs of the new trucks, we Autoblog staffers are torn on exactly which one looks best.
Hot Wheels Camaro to make big debut at Indy
Fri, 05 Apr 2013Chevrolet handed over the keys to 33 Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 festival cars this week. Race directors get the luxury of driving the droptops around Indianapolis in an ongoing tradition with roots all the way back to the 1960s. The stunt is supposed to remind area residents that the Indy 500 is right around the corner. The cars are our first look at the special Camaro Hot Wheels Edition in convertible form, and they are slated to head to dealers after a one-time production run. The cars also represent the first time in history full-size Hot Wheels have been offered for sale by an automaker.
The cars will be available in both the previously seen coupe bodystyle and this convertible configuration, and will feature metallic blue paint and special wheels with the iconic redline accent. Buyers will be able to choose between the V6-powered 2LT trim and the V8-powered 2SS guise.
Hot Wheels says the original Custom Camaro toy was one of the original 16 1:64-scale diecasts, and it remains one of the company's most valuable collector items today.
Automakers score 8 out of top 20 most-watched ads on YouTube [w/videos]
Fri, 14 Dec 2012Who would have ever thought there'd be a day where people are able to skip television commercials only to go to websites to watch them later? Such is the joy of a DVR and YouTube. AdWeek tabulated the 20 most-watched ads on YouTube, and found that nine were car-related including eight coming from automakers.
Volkswagen continued its Star Wars theme with two ads in the top 20, including the highest-ranking car commercial The Bark Side spot at number three with almost 18 million views, which doesn't even have a single car in it. Some of our favorites are from Chrysler with Clint Eastwood in It's Halftime in America and House Arrest with Charlie Sheen for the Fiat 500 Abarth. Chevrolet, Honda, Audi and Toyota were the other automakers in the top 20, but we'd be remiss if we didn't at least mention one of the coolest ads on the list, the Hot Wheels corkscrew jump.
Of all the car videos, only the Fiat ad wasn't played during a Super Bowl. Check out all eight videos - in order - after the jump. Nike took the top spot with its My Time is Now ad that has been seen online more than 20 million times with Pepsi's Uncle Drew posted up in the runner-up; some of the other videos include four Old Spice commercials and an ad in which Snoop Dogg is pedaling Hot Pockets.
