1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 Convertible. Finished in code 72 Hugger Orange paint with White Stripes and Ivory White interior with White convertible top. 454 V8 with Turbo Automatic transmission. Bucket seats with center console shifter and tilt steering wheel. The car has power steering and power front disc/rear drum brakes. All original SS equipment is on this car. The car was frame off restored probably 10 years ago or so but I am not sure. Always a garage kept and a rust free southern car that has been driven on weekends and holidays. The car has clean and original floors and frame with no signs of damage or replacement. All the body panels are clean and rust free with no evidence of repair. The power convertible top is nice and works like it should. Driving this car is a pleasure. It starts easy and idles with a strong muscle car sound. When you step on the gas you can feel the 454 cubic inch engine under the hood. This is not a modified car as it has correct exhaust manifolds and a Quadrajet carburetor so it operates and appears stock . It has an aftermarket exhaust system but looks stock. I installed an aftermarket mechanical gauge cluster to keep track of oil pressure,temperature and battery charging. This is the opportunity to purchase one of the most attractive cars I have ever owned and will always go up in value while being a fun car to enjoy. Chevy Corvette gets Valet Mode with Performance Data Recorder [w/video]
Mon, 18 Aug 2014For the 2015-model-year, Chevrolet introduces Valet Mode for the Corvette, an enhancement to the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) already available and to your peace of mind. The PDR already captures 720p HD video with a windshield-mounted camera, records interior audio with a cabin microphone and gathers telemetry data using GPS, saving the data to an SD card in the glovebox. You can then watch your track-day antics with various information overlays on the center console screen.
Valet Mode will let you hit 'Replay' when your car gets pulled up front smelling vaguely of fricasseed clutch. Turned on by entering a four-digit code, it also locks the interior storage spaces and turns off the infotainment system. It can't be turned off until the code is re-entered. Chevy confirms Corvette Stingray Convertible for Geneva
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Want proof that General Motors has increased global ambitions for its 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray? It's staging the world premiere of the model's convertible variant at the Geneva Motor Show early next month.
As previously rumored, the droptop rendered above will debut at the Swiss show, making its first appearance anywhere on March 5. According to Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet, the location makes sense because Corvette "...is an icon that has long been recognized and admired even in countries where it's never officially been offered."
While neither Chevrolet nor the Corvette has a major sales presence in Switzerland, the Bowtie's European headquarters is located in Zurich (about three hours to the northeast of Geneva) and GM has made it clear that it wants to build the Chevrolet brand up across Europe.
