VIN:  1363379z362778 and the VIN plate matches the title.

History: I can't tell you much about the history. The car came from a friend that lives near Cincinnati, Ohio. The car was thought to have come from Mississippi to the southern Ohio area. It sure looks like a deep south car, the underside has no under coating, I think the floors are original and look very good.

MILEAGE: 70,495 reading and who really knows.

UP FRONT discloser and time saver!!!!!!!!!! This is a good looking car, it is solid, it drives and stops good, it has clear glass and decent chrome, the engine runs good and the transmission shifts good.  Its just a  super nice drive and enjoy quality car. I love the silver stripes on the white paint and the paint is decent, some touched up chips mostly on edges and seems.  The wheels are GM Rallies and the tires good Goodyear Eagles. Most stuff works on the car.

WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM:  My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, TennesseeAthens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 66 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 41. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam.  I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American.  I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 43 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE!

WILL I SELL THE CAR OFF EBAY MOTORS? Yes, I'm not crazy, I know the most of you are not registered on ebay and use it as a research tool.

MY REAL PRICE IS $13,950!!!! That's what it take to buy the car on or off ebay motors, you dealers wanting to resell have to pay the same. I have been doing this for a long time and I know the game, I don't play it the same as most and I sell every car I put for sell.

PLEASE NO TRADES!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Thank you, but I will not trade, why should I trade when I have a hot selling car, I don't need motor cycles, boats, jewelry or your used false teeth.

I DO NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY!!!!! I worship on sunday, I spend time with my family and I rest. I'm doing this because I love it, "I need a day off". I will be happy to show you cars 6 days a week, call in advance to set up a time, "I'm 66 years old and life is more than just cars".

Sorry, but I do not do videos. I'm old and don't want to learn and mess with them, I sell my cars anyway.

IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS?    This is no rust bucket, the underside looks good, but not sanded smooth and detailed for show. The frame, supports and bottom panels all look very good to me. The car has never had under coating so you can see what your looking at, some rusty color metal and pits, but very solid. You will not find many as good as this on the underside.

IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE?  None that I can find and the title states none.

WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR?     I’m a retired mechanic/auto-mechanic instructor/was a Army helicopter mechanic and instructor. When I find a truck or car I like for a good price I buy it fix things and resell for a fair profit. I did not restore this car, I just fixed a few things.

IS THIS A MATCHING NUMBERS CAR? I don't know, the engine has been rebuilt and upgraded to 4 barrel carburetor, the exhaust is ungraded to duals, the car was born a air conditioned are, it now just has the inside stuff.

PAINT:    I would consider the white paint with silver stripes good, but not perfect, the car is straight when you look down the sides, it has no rust bubbles, no big dents, but a couple of minor dings that have not broken the paint. Several chips have been touched up, mostly on edges and in seems.

CHROME:      The back bumper is very good, the front bumper has a little ding and several dull places (a new one cost about $200), the window stainless good, the drip rail molding has a large scuff on the drivers side.

INTERIOR:   No smoke smell, the seat covers are good, the carpet good, the door panels good, the headliner very good, the dash pad has cracks.

RADIO: A very good sound system, its a Kenwood AM/FM CD player with 6x9 speaker in the back package tray area and a big woofer in the trunk.

UNSERSIDE:    Solid, but not painted shinny to put mirrors under at the car show. Its not a rust bucket, the frame extensions and supports look good as wheel as the body mounts. It has never been under coated so you can see what it really is.

GLASS:    The side glasses roll up and down good, the windshield good, but has a faint wiper mark on the passengers side.

ENGINE:    Engine runs very good, its a 307 cubic inch that has been rebuilt. It runs as strong as 350 engines and has no knocks or blue smoke. It has a Edlebrock 4 barrel carburetor and the hoses and belts good.

EXHAUST SYSTEM:  Dual exhaust, not new but good, stock manifolds.

TRANSMISSION:   Its a Turbo 350 that shifts good.

REAR-END:     It has no bearing noises, no growls, its a 10 bolt, I have not checked the gearing, but its just right, you can drive it on the road, it no crazy low ratio.

BRAKES:  Good with a power booster.

STEERING:   The cars drives very good, it is power steering.

WHEELS AND TIRES:      15 inch Rally wheels with good Goodyear Eagle tires.

LIGHTS:     They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work, brake lights work, dome light works.

GUAGES:   Gas gauge works and the others are lights.

WIPERS WORK! SPEEDOMETER WORKS

THIS CAR WAS BORN WITH AIR CONDITIONING: The inside stuff is still in the car, the compressor and condenser under the hood are gone. If you want air just put a modern compressor on.

HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE and panel fit?    I think the doors fit and open very good, the hood and trunk fit good.

WOULD I DRIVE THE CAR HOME ON A LONG TRIP: I never recommend driving a old car home, I just test drive them and drive them some around town, but I do think this car would drive anywhere.

DID I RESTORE THIS CAR? No!

GOOD STUFF: The body is as good as your going to find, stuff works on the car, it runs good, it stops good, it drives good, it looks good.

BAD STUFF: If I was going to keep the car for my own here is what I would do. I would put a new front bumper on, I would replace the drivers drip rail molding, new drivers mirror, new dash pad. Later on I would add a modern air conditioning system on the under hood part. Its just a nice driver, its not perfect::: front bumper dull, drip rail molding scuffed, minor wiper mark on passengers side of windshield, crack in dash pad, few pits in marker light bezels, pits in mirror, under hood AC stuff missing.

WHY DON'T I FIX EVERYTHING: It runs the cost up and I have too many projects.

TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard!

**************I DO NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY AND I'M HARD TO GET ON THE PHONE, PLEASE EMAIL ON SUNDAY!**************

The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the car, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information.

CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day.

     cell    423-506-8987     email:  dreamcar@live.com

PAPERWORK: I know what to do! WE DO NOT HAVE A SHOW ROOM WITH OVERHEAD! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many.

THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the vehicle “come look”.

I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET.

WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED:  The car is here at my garage in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of  Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights.

US OR EXPORT "Nations Auto Transport" is located in the Kansas City area: This is a good company that will handle any type of transport in the US or overseas.

Call Jim Page....his work number is 816-295-6887 and his email is jpage@shipnat.com

MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40,  so transport is usually very fast.

PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. I will take this by PayPal, but not full payment.

Option 1: Pay the old school way with green face to face.

Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the most checks clear, I have had

a fake bank certified check.  I will take a bank cashiers check with lots of

identification and advance notice so I can check you out.

Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a

member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire

transfer. I will not give out my banking information until I get your information.

INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 66 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but lots of them do not impress me at all, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself.  I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first, I will not stop the listing and wait for a inspector!

TRADES: Please no trades!

I do not finance cars! If your going to finance, get pre-approved.

BOTTOM LINE:    My price is really $13,950 and I am firm. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down, but I don't like that game. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down.

PLEASE!!!!!!   PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle.

Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it!

Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place.

I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY.

Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info.

Thank You,

Ron Watson                  cell: 423-506-8987        email: dreamcar@live.com

First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.

GM 6.2L V8 claims most powerful light-duty truck engine title

Thu, 12 Sep 2013

General Motors has officially captured the horsepower crown for mainstream pickup trucks with its 6.2-liter V8. The big mill, available in both the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, comes to market with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, handily outdoing its two cross-town competitors, Ram (5.7-liter V8, 395 ponies and 407 lb-ft) and Ford (6.2-liter V8, 411 hp and 434 lb-ft).
The new GM 6.2 will take a bit of an investment, though. Those that want the extra thrust will need to go with either the LTZ or High Country trims from the Chevy, or the SLT and Denali trims from GMC, which are the two highest trim levels for the respective vehicles. Trim levels aside, if you're in the business of towing, GM has you covered. Optioned with the 6.2-liter V8 and the Max Trailering Package, owners will be able to pull 12,000 pounds, a hugely impressive figure.
We still aren't certain as to what sort of economy the new engine will get, but it'll probably be a bad bet for the fuel conscious. As for availability, expect to see the 6.2-liter trucks in showrooms later in the fall.

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")
