1969 Chevelle Convertible 396 on 2040-cars
Rogersville, Missouri, United States
Here is a nice 69 Base Chevelle that could be built to your dream car. It is a base Chevelle (307) two speed powerglide car from the factory. The color was green (now blue) with black interior. It now has a rebuilt running 396 (1972) it has been enhanced but I don't know the horse power. The powerglide has been rebuilt as well and the car does drive (nice to move it or load it on a trailer). It has two new rear quarters on the car, that were professionally installed and they look great. The doors have bubbling, see pics, (passenger side) but look good from the inside, no patches or bondo. The front quarters look great and the pictures show that. It also has a SS hood installed and is in great shape. The trunk lid is in great shape as well. The front windshield is cracked and needs replaced. The convertible top is manual and moves up and down with no problems. The car needs patch repair or replacement in the floors and trunk. The frame looks great and so do the rocker panels. Some parts come with the car and the picture shows them. The seats are there as well. The back seat has been reupholstered in black. the fronts need done. Have the title in hand, was going to finish it myself but we are relocating and don't have room for the car in the new location. The car is in Springfield, MO. Call, email, or text if you have any questions 417-343-3434.....Roger. I am also listing the car locally and reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.

C7 Corvette makes inaugural ad appearance in Chevy's first spot with new slogan
Mon, 11 Feb 2013Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" tagline has finally been run into the ground, replaced with the Bowtie brand's "Find New Roads" slogan that's part of parent General Motors' plan to unify its everyday brand's marketing efforts worldwide. The new Chevrolet campaign was ushered in on prime time last night during the Grammy Awards on CBS, and the first spot, a 90-second full-line ad, also marks the first appearance of the 2014 Corvette Stingray in a commercial.
Being a full-line ad, the commercial is composed of vignettes centered on different vehicles in the brand's lineup. The all-new 2014 Impala also makes its first commercial appearance in dapper fashion, and time is spent on a skateboarding Sonic and a bouquet of brightly colored Spark hatchbacks driven by fashionable women. The ad starts and ends with Chevy's green halo car, the Volt, along with a young girl with her robotic dog (yes, really).
Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" campaign got off to a rocky start in the fall of 2010, but it did last for a couple of years with some tweaks. This new one, "Find New Roads" seems more intent on drawing new customers into the fold than the outgoing tagline, which seemed to play more toward the brand faithful. It admittedly reminds us more than a little the short-lived "Find Your Own Road" Saab motto (which, we note, was conceived while the Swedish brand was under GM's control), but no matter, we still think it's got more long-term potential than "Runs Deep."

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray
Fri, 25 Oct 2013We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
