1968 Chevelle Ss True 138 Code Car/ Pink Slip On Hand on 2040-cars
Merced, California, United States
|
Here IS A VERY RARE and true 1968 Chevelle SS project car. I have the pink slip on hand, why waste your time, money, and efforts dealing with a bill of sale car.
The interior is all original and is a rare buick interior that only a few SS Chevelles got. If you research this, several therioes exist as to why gm plants did this ranging from a strike at gm plants, material shortage, to an upgrade to the more upscale interior, gm has not confirmed either, but this is rare and is documented. This car also still has the numbers matching big block!
I understand that when you take on a project, this is an experience that is very special for many reasons, it can be something that you are working on with your child, father, etc.., it can also be that you had a car like this growing up and want to relive your past. What ever the reason is, I want you to be statisfied and want you to get exactly what you expected. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, I will answer them truthfully and as quickly as I can. I have brand new trunk pan, radiator support/ front end, patches for right and left fenders, gas tank, right side wheel house, front end screws. Pictures show the head lights installed. I have removed them as I was going to replaced the radiator support. Since we did not do this, I decided to put them in the back seat. Obviously car does not run as the block needs to be rebuilt. Passenger side quarter window is missing, windshield has a crack, all other glass is there. Message me if you have any questions, or if you want to see anything else on the car.
Car is also being sold locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.

Driving McLaren's Sports Car and 'The Best Corvette' at the M1 Concourse | AutoblogVR
Wed, Apr 12 2017There's nothing better than a track day. Great cars on a great track are always great fun. Recently, we had the opportunity to check out the new M1 Concourse in Pontiac, MI, with two of the coolest cars in the game; a McLaren 570S and a Corvette Grand Sport. Driving the 570S was Autoblog senior editor Greg Migliore, and he didn't hold back. Getting behind the wheel of the McLaren, Greg explains that although this is McLaren's idea of a sports car, "it's all relative." Topping out at 204 miles per hour with 562 horsepower, there's no two ways about it: this thing is a monster. While the 570S was fantastic, we had another sports car we wanted to drive and editor-in-chief Mike Austin was just the man for the job. Enter the Corvette Grand Sport. Mike pushed all 460 horses of the 'Vette to the limit and came away impressed with the car, even calling it "the best Corvette." Comparing it to its more powerful sibling, the Z06, Mike goes so far as to say the Z06 has too much power, while the Grand Sport seems to be the third bear's bowl of porridge in the Corvette family... It's just right. We captured all the action of the day with 360° cameras so you can feel like you're right there in the car sitting shotgun with us! You can check out the McLaren and Corvette laps above, but the best way to view them is through the AutoblogVR app, where you can watch the videos on your VR headset or in a nice swivel-y office chair so you can take in the sights all around you. Each month, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll be posting them here on Autoblog, but for the best experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too!
2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Beauty Roll
Tue, Aug 18 2015For those of you paying attention, we've really ramped up the old Autoblog video game these days. Our new series Car Club USA joins Translogic and The List, and there are more Daily Drivers and Short Cuts than ever. But sometimes, all you care about is the car. The Autoblog Beauty-Roll video series has one goal: bring you glossy video of cars, and nothing but. We're collecting moving pictures of all the cars we test, inside and out. Each episode comes with a hit of engine sound – start-up and with a few revs – to round out the package. Set your resolution to max, kick it into full-screen, turn up the sound, and enjoy today's subject, the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Oh, and if you'd like more Beauty-Roll, click here to see the back catalog.
Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty
Tue, 05 Mar 2013We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.
