THIS IS A NICE CAPRICE CLASSIC WITH A LOT OF EXTRAS. CAR WAS ORIGINALLY A 4.3 V6, AND HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO A 5.7 350 COMPLETE WITH WORKING A/C. CAR IS IN GOOD MECHANICAL SHAPE AND RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. HAS FREE FLOW EXHAUST THAT SOUNDS GOOD TOO. TRANSMISSION SHIFTS OUT AS IT SHOULD. BRAKES ARE GOOD BUT A LITTLE TOUCHY AT FIRST. THE 350 ENGINE IS STRONG WITH NO SMOKE OR NOISES AT ALL. PULLS HARD, PLENTY OF POWER. HAS 2012 24" WHEELS AND TIRES THAT ARE IN GREAT SHAPE. INTERIOR IS IN FAIR CONDITION, FRONT DRIVERS SEAT HAS SOME TEARS. A COUPLE OF THE DOOR PANELS ARE MISSING THE ARMREST PADS. HAS SEVERAL ELECTRONIC GOODIES: FLIP OUT CD/DVD HEAD UNIT IN DASH, FLIP DOWN TV IN HEADLINER, BACK UP CAMERA AND KEYLESS ENTRY // ALARM SYSTEM. General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit
Tue, 15 Jan 2013There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.
GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles
Tue, 06 Aug 2013General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.
