Up for sale is a rare 67 caprice loaded with many hard to find options. Original matching number 396 with 400 turbo trans, Car runs great and shift well. It has an exhaust leak or doughnut gasket that is bad. Options include, Power steering, power brakes, Power strato buckets, Power windows, Remote mirror, tilt, cruise control, speed minder that works, First year for the 8 track tape player, 4 speaker system, confortron A/C or 4 seasons A/C. Under hood light still works. This is an original California car with the original smog pump removed and is in the trunk. I have all original sales documents for the car and it still has the original black plates that came on the car since new. Bought this to restore years ago but have to clear out some projects. Carpet removed and discarded. Owner before me started some body work. It has about 80 percent of its original paint. The drivers side rear quarter has some filler. It appears there was a scape that was being repaired an not rusted. The trunk, rockers and floor pans are clean. Some work was also done around the trunk lock. It has three of the original T3 head lights. A/C comes on and lines get cold but blower motor does not come on. It looks like the heater core was by passed also. Drive as is and work on it while you enjoy it. I would suggest trailer it and go through the vehicle before setting out on a long drive. This is a true muscle car with all the luxury you need. No trades, I am currently thinning out the heard and will be listing more vehicles I have been hoarding. Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.

GM won't pay owners of recalled cars for lost value

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

Kenneth Feinberg, the man in charge of the General Motors compensation fund dealing with the its widespread ignition switch woes, has issued an informal, two-letter response to the plaintiffs in more than 70 lawsuits seeking redress for lost resale value of their Cobalts: "No." The cases were recently combined into one, but Feinberg told The Detroit News that the fund will deal "only with death and physical injury claims," and that "perceived diminished value" will get no consideration.
ALG, the firm specializing in establishing residual values, determined that Cobalt owners had lost $300 compared to the segment competition and doesn't envision any long-term effects from the recall situation. Feinberg's statement comes in advance of public details on how the compensation fund will work and adheres to GM's long-held position on the matter. The company has already asked a judge to throw out such suits using the pre-bankruptcy defense, even as it stopped using that defense in cases of injury and death.
With plenty of potential gain from the GM suit, however, don't expect the plaintiffs to give up yet. When Toyota was sued for the same reason during the unintended acceleration debacle, it eventually settled the case for between $1 billion and $1.4 billion just to get it over with. Since the 85 law firms involved in the Toyota litigation took home more than $250 million of that total, we shouldn't expect the attorneys to give up on a GM payout, either.

Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
