1969 Chevrolet Camaro 302 Z/28 X33 with Steel Cross ram hood & Cross ram Setup and Protect-O-Plate - Relisted with better details, video and better pictures. Additional Pictures: Video: Built in Norwood Ohio as designated by X33 cowl tag. Car also has the Original 1969 Genuine Protect-O-plate and warranty booklet, and owners manual in the original factory sleeve. The summary listed below shows all the Factory original components, date codes, and details about the specifics of the car. This 1969 Camaro Z/28 would be ideal for the collector or enthusiast who likes a very nice car to drive and enjoy. This Camaro runs and drives extremely well and the sounds awesome with factory style headers, solid camshaft and lifters. The cross ram has been professionally installed and tuned by Stanley Younts at Stan's restorations in North Carolina. Original 1969 Z/28 Camaros are hard to find. When I say original I mean cars with factory sheet metal, original components and genuine documentation. All too often we see cars at auction with reproduction paperwork and fake Protecto-plates or re stamped engines. This super detailed Z28 is sure to please even the most advanced Camaro collector. NOTE: Due to unscrupulous individuals offering rare and collectible Camaros with re stamped engines, transmissions, and fraudulent component in the marketplace today, I recommend that you obtain a written statement of facts when purchasing a collectible Camaro. The statement should be accurate and to the point. Always get these statements notarized. I will be glad to provide one with the Bill of Sale The Camaro offered here is a factory Lemans Blue car with white stripes. An excellent color combination for any muscle car. The car maintains all GM quarters panels, doors, hood, trunk lid, header and lover valance panel, roof and front fenders. The car was painted over 20 years ago and has been recently wet-sanded and re-cleared for a mirror shine. The paint is super nice and appears like an original survivor. There is a small mark on the rear quarter from a scratch with a slight bubble in the paint that doesn't show very well in photographs. This particular Camaro has a mostly original interior. Our restorer replaced the dash pad with a new high quality CHQ dash pad, installed new carpet and restored the original GM Rosewood steering wheel to better than new. The factory tachometer, dash mounted clock, and all console gauges work properly, and the original clutch and brake pedals and wiring harnesses confirm this car's original low mileage. The factory AM radio does not work, but the original AM antenna mast is present on the car and hard to find. To the best of our knowledge the ZL-2 Cowl Induction System was added to this car at some time earlier in its life. The hood is an original GM Cowl Induction hood that has been modified for the Cross ram installation (inside opening is different). The Cross ram intake manifold was produced in the USA and is an Officially Licensed General Motors Corporation. The new Holley list #4295 carburetors work perfectly. We would score this car an 8 on a scale of 1-10. 10 cars are nut and bolt restorations and this car didn't need a nut and bolt restoration as it is a super nice clean survivor car to begin with. This would be a wonderful car for a guy who wants a real documented Z/28 Camaro that wants to take it out and drive it as intended. In addition to the Cross ram installation, our restorer completely rebuild and restored the underneath of this car. All new brakes and suspension parts. Everything has been inspected and replaced as needed. We are offering this wonderful Z/28 for 82,500.00. We are looking for a 1969 Camaro Pace Car if you have one to trade up, in similar condition. Sorry not interested in other types of cars accept first generation Camaros + Cash. Will consider trades for project cars with parts or NOS parts collections. Don't be shy, reach out. Over 55 watchers, so if you have interest shoot me a message, I'd be glad to talk about the car or listen to any offers. Please do not email asking my bottom line. If your serious make an offer. Corvette Stingray designer lists five goals of new exterior shape

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.

Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.

Watch how Corvette Racing's new collision-avoidance radar system works

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.
