2001 Camaro Z-28 convertible Low miles in awesome shape, not a nick anywhere.Car was painted 2 years ago because of hail damage (accident report on car fax). At that time the SS deck lid and spoiler were installed and the "I want some of you hood" was installed. When you look at this car in your rear view mirror it looks like it is going to eat you. The interior was changed out from tan to black and gray ,professional job. Also included are the tonneau covers and a bag for storage (cost $800).
I have all the paper work from new( North Carolina) the car has never been raced hard and everything works as it should. Performs just like a regular Camaro until it's call upon. No lights on ,air cold etc, everything is in new condition, absolutely gorgeous. I know these cars pretty well and this is as nice of a 2001 out there. It is worth my price without the upgrades. It does have a tan power top in great shape.
Now for the good stuff at 32k miles the motor was spiced up along with the car and had the following done. I receipts for most of the work, I have 10k and the motor was another 5k. The car Dynoed @415RWHP, that's somewhere around 500 in HP rating.
1) Ls-6 Cam/head pack (Z-06)
2 ) cam 228/232 112LSA
3) LS machined heads, lifters valves springs rods rockers and hardware
4) LS6 intake,ported throttle body
5) 1 7/8 long tube headers, flow master cat back exhaust
6) Hi-Output oil pump,160 thermostat
7) Rebuilt tranny to support motor, alum shifter forks internals hardened forged steel. T-56-6
C-6 suspension components, lowered 1.6 inches complete, C-6 Corvette wheels Nitto z rates (new)
This car is fast and it will out perform my 09 LS-3 Vette, it rides and runs just like it is stock. All work was professionally done and will require nothing but a new owner. I am not a dealer, I buy stuff and sell when ever to keep my interest up. This car could be driven anywhere and is alot of car for the money. I know transport companies and rates are surprisingly low. If you are serious about buying the car you can call me, three two one 663 8790. regular questions I can answer emails , thanks and good luck this is a fabulous car.

GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series
Thu, 31 Oct 2013During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. (You can see the image of what the stunt would have looked like above, courtesy of one timely Reddit user.)
Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.
Pushing Back: GM expanding Chevrolet into Korea, Daewoo out
Thu, 29 Apr 2010Chevrolet Camaro goes to South Korea - Click above for high-res image
General Motors decided several years ago to begin heavily promoting Chevrolet as its global mainstream brand even in markets where its existing brands like Opel and Daewoo were a dominant force. Today, at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea, GM Daewoo president Mike Arcamone announced that the Camaro would lead the way in GM's efforts to market Chevrolet in South Korea.
For now at least Chevrolet and Daewoo-branded vehicles will coexist in the Korean market. However, while we were in China last week GM officials told us that the Daewoo brand, which has been somewhat tainted by past quality issues, would eventually be phased out in favor of Chevrolet. When the new Aveo launches next year it will likely be badged as a Chevrolet even though GM Daewoo is in charge of engineering the car.
Experimental mid-engine XP-819 Corvette going up for auction
Sun, 17 Feb 2013It seems to be commonplace that when a new Corvette is in development, rumors swirl about a possible mid-engine layout. As is the case of Chevy's most recent C7 Corvette, these rumors never pan out.
In any case, the idea for a 'Vette with an engine mounted behind the driver can probably all be traced back to a single car, the 1964 XP-819 prototype. Built as an "engineering exercise" back in 1964, the prototype was designed with a rear-mounted engine. History tells us that the idea of a rear-engine Corvette fizzled, and the XP-819 was eventually cut up into pieces and stored at a shop in Daytona Beach, FL.
After sitting for untold years, a restoration project started on the car, and while it isn't yet fully completed, the current owner of the car, Mid America Motorworks, will have the car on display at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance as a "driveable chassis" with hopes of having a fully completed car ready to bring to next year's show.
