1992 Camaro RS 25th Anniversary T-TOPS V8

Here is your chance to own a beautiful example of the 1992 Camaro RS.  If you are looking at this add you have been searching the internet for a 3rd generation Camaro and by now I’m sure you have found they are becoming harder and harder to find.  They are either rusted out, had the daylights ran out of them, or have been hacked up in an attempt to make them “fast”.  Well here is an opportunity to own a bone stock 1992 Camaro RS with T-tops.  This car was purchased in 2000 from the original owner who moved from Florida to NY and realized he would not be able to drive the car year round.  This was a secondary car and only driven during the summer months.

The Car has approx. 108,000 miles on it but runs like a top burning ZERO oil.

The Automatic transmission still shifts smooth and crisp as it should. With overdrive this car averages 25mpg.

5.0 V8

Power Windows

Power Locks

Power Rear Hatch

T-Tops- with original Leather T-Top storage bags (and they DO NOT leak)

A pioneer CD player has been installed –original Delco Tape deck will come with the vehicle

In recent months the following has been done to the car:

New tires -on all four corners.

New exhaust system- Not loud and obnoxious but has nice deep tone.

New head liner- the old one was starting to droop.

New dash pad– (the old one as they all do cracked, this is not a cover –but the actual entire dash pad)

Car has been repainted approx 3 years ago in the original color and shows near perfect.

The bad, short list but I want to be honest:

When the dash pad was replaced the gauge cluster was removed, during reassembly something happened to the tachometer causing it to read higher than it should.  It returns to zero when turning the car off but reads several 1000 RPM’s higher than it should.  The speedometer also began working only when it wants to.  The dash pad was replaced during the winter months and the car was not driven for several months after.  I failed to put the two together and had the vehicle speed position sensor replaced in the transmission at the beginning of the season (summer) when I realized the speedometer was not working correctly. (This did not solve the problem) With arrival of a daughter I have not had the time to look into the problem again.

With that said, due to the arrival of my daughter my wife and I have not had time to attend the weekly cruise nights and if you have ever tried, you know a car seat isn’t fitting in the back. The car has been driven less than 100 miles this year. After 14 years it is time to pass this car on to someone new.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

Tue, 17 Aug 2010

2010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
