1992 CAMARO RS B4C
TEXAS HIGHWAY PATROL
5.0 Tuned Port Injection / Manual (5 speed) Transmission
4 Wheel Disk Brakes - PBR dual piston front calipers (larger "Corvette" brakes)
G92 Rear gear (3.42)
Manual windows, door locks and rear hatch
This B4C was originally black and white and, at some point, post-service, was painted silver. The paint is decent with little fade, though there are scuffs and touch-up work that has been done to the front bumper cover as well as the corner of the hood which has a slight dent (see picture). The motor runs well and the transmission shifts well. The previous owner installed Koni shocks and struts which lowered the car 1-2 inches. The dash pad is cracked and driver seat has normal side bolster wear. This Camaro has working a/c and has been my daily driver. Having owned several B4C Camaros, this is one of the best examples I have driven.
If you have further questions or would like to see the car in person please call 615-653-3241.
$1000 (cash, cashier's check) deposit due within 24 hours with the balance due within 3 days.

The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.

As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.

Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.
