1991 Camaro Rs Convertible- 26k Original Miles! on 2040-cars
Corona, California, United States
Up for bid is a beautiful 1991 Camaro RS convertible. Color is teal green with black interior and black top. The car has only 26,320 original miles on it. The interior is like new. The paint is very nice original also. There are a few spots on rear trunk area and a chip on the passenger side mirror from storage, but these are minor paint imperfections for a car over 20 years old. I just installed a new fuel pump, fuel filter and a new battery. The car has been in storage for about 3 years. I have 3 other Camaros and a Pontiac and I couldn't afford registration and insurance for all of them so I put this on NON-OP status. The car has been stored inside with a car cover the last 3 years. The options include PW, PWDL, Cruise Control, A/C, and an aftermarket Jensen am/fm cd player that's brand new. Wheels are original 16" with Goodyear eagle tires. The engine is a 305 TBI, runs great. Flowmaster exhaust. The top is manual, not automatic and has one small tear where it rubs when you put it down. I have an extra air filter lid that I powdercoated gloss black. Also I installed a K&N air filter. The title is in my name ready to be signed over to the new owner. If you have any other questions or if you would like to see it in person ( I recommend this) email me back. thanks for looking!

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine
Fri, 08 Mar 2013Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards
Tue, 27 Nov 2012Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:
