Small crack in the windshield, one minor dent in front passenger side fender, behind front tire, dent is not creased just pushed in. Overall this car is in great shape. I rescued this car from a divorce, has been one owner car from 1990-2012, I am the second owner and have put less than 1000 miles on the car. Car has 4 new tires and recent routine mechanical service of all fluids. Interior is near excellent except for where I cracked the dash, again very minor. Car is not missing any known parts from interior or exterior. Runs like a champ."

Car is overall in very good condition.  Fuel injectors have been changed since I purchased in 2012.  I bought this car as a project.  It had been running rough and the prior owner parked it and stopped driving for about 9 months.  I towed straight to my mechanic and we diagnosed the issue and repaired as well as checked all other systems to ensure the car was completely driveable.  There are minor dings, scratches and one dent in the passenger side fender behind front tire.  The interior of the car is in great condition, despite on minor crack in the dash which I caused.  NO torn seats, NO droopy headliner, Radio works poorly.  Car has 4 new tires that I purchased after purchasing the car.  I have recharged the a/c once since purchasing and I am certain that is will need it again.  Fog lamps are not working and need to be replaced.  Something keeps causing the interior light fuse to blow every so often, have not traced the problem down.  Buyer is responsible for shipping, seller will assist buyer with reasonable requests in regards to shipping the car.

2014 Chevrolet Malibu gets more torque, more room and inspiration from the Impala

Fri, 31 May 2013

The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.

This is your 2014 Chevrolet SS

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.

GM profits threatened by glut of pickups

Wed, 05 Dec 2012

Automotive News reports that General Motors may slash production or ramp up discounts in order to deal with an oversupply of pickup trucks. GM currently has more than double the standard supply of pickups, and the vehicles are threatening to dampen the automaker's profits for 2013. Typically, automakers try to sustain a 60- to 75-day supply of vehicles, but GM is currently loaded with a 139-day supply, as of last month. At the end of November, the automaker was sitting on 245,853 units.
The manufacturer says that it will adjust production accordingly before laying any incentives on the profitable pickups. Even so, there's some concern that the inventory swell could hurt the roll-out of the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. GM actually began slowly stepping back production in August, but it's clear the company will take further action as it heads toward the end of the year and into the next. Analysts predict the automaker could reduce pickup manufacturing by nearly half in the first quarter of 2013.
That still may not be enough to keep GM from laying extra cash on the Silverado and GMC Sierra. While the company's incentive spending was down in November compared to the same month in 2011, both the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 saw double-digit percentage increases in sales last month while the Silverado and Sierra numbers slid compared to a year prior. Incentive spending could help move more trucks and add some balance to the GM inventory surge.
