1988 Camaro Sport Coupe 5.0L
Super RARE Color Combo Burnt Orange and Silver Ground Effects
Hard to Find Hard Top Car
66k

Real nice example of a clean 3rd gen Camaro. I havent seen one this clean in a very long time. This body is sold and paint looks great, car was always garage kept and out of the elements. Interior has some minor flaws here and there nothing out of this world but shows some wear. This car is just begging for a LSx Motor swap. Lots of new parts recently:
New front calipers, rubber lines and pads
Idler arm replaced
New Left front strut and sway bar link
New exhaust mid pipe
New center caps and lug nuts
New serp belt
Coolant flushed
New battery
New hood and hatch struts
Air filter and oil change
New fuel pump
New oil pressure switch
New coolant temp switch

A/c blows ice cold and car runs great. There is a little bit of lifter tick but should clear up once someone actually puts some miles on this car it been sitting in the garage for 3-4 years. Only reason im selling is to clear out the garage, too many toys and not enough time. Any questions please call or text me 847 312 2067 thank you and happy bidding  Dave  Car is for sale locally as well i reserve the right to cancel auction early.

Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?

Tue, 19 Feb 2013 18:30:00 EST

Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more? MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet. Right now, GM is reportedly waiting to see what sort of grunt it can glean from the next ZR1.
The automaker has already made it clear it will resurrect the LT5 name for the new supercharged V8, and if GM is already pulling 600 from the Z06, the big dog ZR1 would theoretically offer 700 horsepower. Either way, the range-topping Corvette will be suitably insulated from its less potent siblings. Stay tuned. We aren't likely to see the Z06 for at least a year, with the ZR1 trailing along at some point there after.

This is your 2014 Chevrolet SS

Sat, 16 Feb 2013 00:01:00 EST

Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.

Chevy confirms Corvette Stingray Convertible for Geneva

Thu, 07 Feb 2013 16:31:00 EST

Want proof that General Motors has increased global ambitions for its 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray? It's staging the world premiere of the model's convertible variant at the Geneva Motor Show early next month.
As previously rumored, the droptop rendered above will debut at the Swiss show, making its first appearance anywhere on March 5. According to Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet, the location makes sense because Corvette "...is an icon that has long been recognized and admired even in countries where it's never officially been offered."
While neither Chevrolet nor the Corvette has a major sales presence in Switzerland, the Bowtie's European headquarters is located in Zurich (about three hours to the northeast of Geneva) and GM has made it clear that it wants to build the Chevrolet brand up across Europe.
