This 1971 Camaro is a solid original three Owner Colorado Car. The Camaro has never been hot rodded, changed, or abused. The car is mostly a Survivor type car with only one repaint in its original color  of Ascot Blue. The Interior is also correct as Bright Blue. The paint is still very presentable but not perfect. Has a nice shine but does show a few minor paint chips due to age. The body is about as solid as they come. The Floor pans, trunk pans, rocker panels, are all solid with no rust! The doors open and close with ease and no sagging. The trunk fit along with the hood fit is nice. As you can see in the pictures the red oxide primer is still visible on the underside of the Camaro. No big dings or dents from a floor jack either. Even the gas tank only has surface rust. The chassis has never been undercoated so you can see all of the originality of the car. Only the rear quarter panels have minor surface rust showing minimal bubbling of the paint. Please see pictures. The glass is still all presentable and good and not cracked. The spare tire is still intact along with the jack and original seat belts. The chrome bumpers are presentable as well and show nice on the car with no rust or dents in the bumpers. The wheels are painted steel with new radial tires and small hubcaps. The miles on the car show 15,580 and is 115,580. The interior is mostly original except for the seat covers and carpet as they both have been replaced at some time. The dash pad and door panels are good and original with no rips or tears but do show some aging. The headliner is still in great shape along with the sunvisors. Everything works on the car including all gauges, back up lights, horns, parking brake, wipers, heater controls, door locks, etc. The radio has been replaced with an updated Pioneer In-Dash CD Player with new Rear Pioneer Speakers.

Features on this Camaro Include:

Stock Original 250 c.i. Inline 6 Cylinder Engine

Powerglide Automatic Transmission with shifter on the column

Power Steering

Disc Brakes

The car runs and drives out smoothly. I would not be afraid to drive this Camaro anywhere. The car has been maintained well and serviced regulary. Engine amazingly performs nice and goes down the highway at 70 m.p.h. with ease. And the tires are balanced out nice. Recent front end alignment.  Even gets 21 m.p.g. on gasoline! Original Owners manual included with the car along with some prior owner receipts that has been spent on the car.

Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.

Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
