1969 Camaro Project car, Do not know a whole bunch about car so what you see is what you get , this car is in need of a full restoration. it is not rust free but much better than alot I see on here.  Car has a 400sbc with roller rockers and a turbo 350 tranny, we fired it off a gasline in gas can and it sounded remarkably healthy.  no radiator or battery included.  Mostly a complete car mostly , hood is a cheaper aftermarket, 12 bolt posi multi leave leaf suspension, frame connectors. car will come with Bill of sale and paperwork to get a NYS transferable registration which is the only thing NY ever offer for 1973 and older...

as is where is...needs restoration
Key words, Barn find, project, z-28, 302 super sport, ss , x-11

added info no hood hinges

With the amount of people asking to call I would have to take leave from work :)  I would prefer to handle first rounds of questions via email, as auction get closer I will answer phone requests from active bidders. Nothing personal,  I like talking about cars the good old days etc but need to weed out those looking for a phone buddy :).  I will let auction run its course if you want to send me a crazy "buy it now" offer I will look and respond but most likely I will let auction run its course.

Some additional info:  Car has a really cheap sunroof put in at some time, I would say a roof skin would be the answer,  I thought it showed better in pictures but I guess not.  Also The prior owner removed cowl tag, it was promised to be gotten to us but as of yet it is not in my possession.  Buy as it does not have cowl tag and best efforts will be made to acquire, did not realize this when posted originally,  Sorry for confusion

Read This: Auto Extremist advocates for Corvette as brand with multiple models [w/poll]

Fri, 25 Jan 2013

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin. Either way, the notion is certainly an interesting one. Head over to Auto Extremist to take in the full editorial, and then let us know what you think in Comments. Should GM split off its most storied nameplate?

Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum

Fri, 02 May 2014

Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.

Fewer than 1 in 3 Chevy dealers earn right to initially sell C7 Corvette

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

Looking to make the launch of the 2014 Corvette Stingray as efficient as possible, Chevrolet will be limiting the numbers of its dealers that can sell the all-new coupe and convertible. According to Automotive News, sales of the C7 Corvette will initially be limited to less than a third of Chevy's total dealership network when the 'Vette goes on sale this summer.
Only 900 dealers out of more than 3,000 locations nationwide will be allowed to sell the new Corvette at first, and the reason for this is so that there are no shortages at dealers that can actually get the cars sold. The article says that the 900 dealerships chosen represented 80 percent of total Corvette sales in 2012.
Some of the requirements dealers had to make to get initial allocation of Stingray sales include having sold at least four Corvettes in 2012 and having a Corvette Stingray specialist who will be required to have gone through a training session costing more than $2,000 per attendee. Once demand for the 2014 Corvette Stingray begins to subside - approximately six to nine months after it goes on sale - then allocation could open up to more dealers, but the report indicates this could happen following the 2014 model year.
