This is a 1969 Camaro Super Sport with the Rally Sport option. It has the numbers matching 396-325 HP engine and 4 sp. transmission, 12 bolt posi rear end, front disc Brakes. The car also has it's original protectoplate to document it's authenticity. The car is originally Lemans Blue with a black standard interior. A customer intended to have us restore this car for him and ran into financial problems so we purchased the car from him and are offering it for sale as a project. We had already invested $13,000.00 in parts and labor preparing the car for paint and rebuilding the Muncie M-20 4 speed transmission. New quarters and outer wheelhouses have been installed. New front sheetmetal is installed. The undercarriage is all done and painted and show ready. That is where we stopped. The engine is disassembled and will need to be rebuilt. Seat cores are included as well as a console and dash assembly. The used glass and door hardware, trim, lights, bumpers, etc. are included. This car needs final prep and paint as well as assembly, but will make a real nice and valuable investment secured by the original protectoplate! Please feel free to call us with any questions at Camaro Specialties 716-652-7086. We will be glad to assist with a transportation. We would also welcome and encourage inspection here at the shop if at all possible. We have been supplying parts and restoring 1967-1981 Camaros for 30 years!

Watch this time-lapse build of the Chevy SS for NASCAR
Fri, 08 Feb 2013There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.
To see what Team Chevy has been up to all off-season, check out all three videos posted after the jump.
First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph
Tue, 01 Oct 2013Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.
PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.
