My father passed and left me with our 69 Camaro Coupe that was a barn find.We are the second owners of the car.This car is a rare X086 model with a 3 speed shifter on the column. You don't find them like this anymore. An unmolested barn find,matching numbers original car.Needs to be restored.Floor pan rusted, underneath hood rusted, around trunk lid rusted, and a few others, not bad.Body is straight, hasn't been wrecked. Chrome bumpers are good, not rusted. Has been repainted blue, was pea green, ugh.327 v8. It runs but needs a valve job. dad rebuilt the 2 barrel carburetor, new plugs,wires, fuel pump and a few others so he could drive it around to work on it, but he passed right after that.The exhaust is rusted so it can't be run long and has been sitting for a few years under a carport and cover.The car is complete, everything is there that I can see.Clear title, and keys in hand. Buyer responsible for pickup or shipping, which mat have to be a private carrier due to the car not being able to be started all the time and moved.Please give her a good home, I hate to sell it, but we need to buy my dads property with the sale of this car.Proper paper work will be sent with title for transfer purpose, this estate is still under probate.I have the right to end this auction early and cancel any bids, due to the fact that this car is listed for sale locally. GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles
Tue, 06 Aug 2013General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.

Mon, 17 Dec 2012They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
