This is my 1977 Chevy crew cab dually long box, It's a 1 ton 4x4 with a dana 60 front and dana 70 rear, both with 456 gears. It has a 454 big block chevy motor with a brand new aluminum intake with a pretty nice edlebrock competition carb and fresh head job with less than 1000 miles on it also has air conditioning and it does work, will need charged but it will work. Transmission is a turbo 400 with a 203 transfer case, everything shifts good and firm, the transfer does have twin sticks on it simply because the linkage always gave me troubles but the 4x4 all works. Its got a 8 inch skyjacker lift on it that cost 1800 when put on roughly a year ago, its blocks and add a leafs in the rear, new springs up front, new shocks, steering stabilizers, sway bar lowing brackets, the works all properly installed. The interior is a little rough there is no carpet in it, and the trim and seat belts are out if it but i do have all of it, headliner is still in it, its got bucket seats with covers on them they aren't terrible but do show some wear, the dash it pretty nice only few cracks in the pad, all the gauges and lights work inside, just has crank windows does have a cd player that works to. Its got a front clip from a 90 suburban with the newer style grille and hood. Currently it has 35/12.50/16.5 tires and they are pretty rough, all hold hair but have weather checking, I had 37s on it before but used them on another project, does have 3 inch billet aluminum spacers in between the rear wheels for clearance. Has a clean drop bumper on the rear with a receiver hitch underneath, you don't even need a drop hitch to pull a trailer. The body is pretty fair, but the rockers on both sides are rusting out pretty bad, and one spot on the drivers side box on the front is beat up a little bit hopefully the pics show it good enough. I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton but just shoot me an email and ill do whatever it takes to help out, this is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells. This thing runs and drives very well for how large it is, and i have pulled a loaded car trailer over 2 hours round trip with no issues what so ever, thanks for looking, email with any questions at all, Ill do my best to answer. Its located In Fairbury Nebraska, and I WILL NOT SHIP

Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels
Thu, 24 Jan 2013The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.
Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards
Tue, 27 Nov 2012Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:
Next-gen Chevy Cruze caught cruising in the cold
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Spy photographers have caught what looks like the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze out on snow patrol. The camo could be tricking our eyes, but it look like it has an even tidier, more rounded front end and even lower fenders in relation to the top of the hood. And either a chunk of camo has been wedged between the side mirrors and the doors, or the mirrors are up for revision, too.
The door handles have been moved up the side of the car, leading the way to a rear end that grows a bit in length. If the rumors are true, the coming second-generation Cruze sits on the new D2XX platform that will replace the Delta and Theta platforms at General Motors. A global architecture, the Cruze will be the first to get it, but it will underpin everything from next Chevrolet Volt to the Equinox and could be responsible for 2.5 million units by 2018. The next Cruze is expected to begin production in GM's Lordstown, Ohio plant in the third quarter of 2014.
