Up for sale is a 1978 Chevrolet K20 Scottsdale. It has 87,xxx original miles. It's being sold with NO RESERVE PRICE, HIGH BIDDER WINS THIS BEAUTY! They're getting rarer every day. Starts up, runs pretty well. Motor and transmission in good shape. Body of truck is in surprisingly nice shape, there has been minor touchups and some sheet metal work but it was done right. The tires are in EXCELLENT shape, interior has seen better days but still would be a good driver/candidate for restoration. The brakes, steering, and suspension feel normal. We tried to picture all of the defects, contact us if you have any questions! Feel free to come on by for a test drive. The truck is being sold as-is without warranty. We are a used car dealership in Illinois, and buyer is responsible for shipping/pick up of the vehicle. There is a non-refundable $500 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end. GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada
Thu, 21 Feb 2013Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.

GM recalls full-size truck, SUVs and vans over faulty shifter mechanism
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Twelve different General Motors vehicles from the 2013 model year, up to 54,686 units in total, are being recalled over two potential issues with their steering columns. The models in question, all full-size trucks, SUVs or vans, are the: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
The affected vehicles were built with a fractured parking lock cable or "a malformed steering column lock actuator gear in the lock module assembly." As a consequence, they could shift out of park without the brake pedal being applied or with the key removed or in the off position.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that the recall should begin on January 17. GM will notify owners, at which time they can take their vehicles to their dealers for repair free of charge. Have a look at the bulletin below for more information.
