Offered for auction is a 2002 Chevrolet 2500 HD 4X4 with 28,000 original one owner miles. It is in excellent overall condition. However, it's not perfect. The truck has miscellaneous minor scratches - the worst are on the hood (see photos). The underside of the vehicle is solid, but does have some scale consistent with a truck of this age from the North East. It also has minor rust on the front bumper, a minor dent in the right cab corner (see photo). The paint shines nicely, the interior is like new, and it has a nearly new set of Good Year Wranglers. This truck is equipped with a metal Fold A Cover with a bedliner under it. This truck is ready to go to work and is truly a rare find. With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. This year's 12 Hours of Sebring wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion because we're still talking about racing, and anything can happen when the speeds are as high as the adrenaline and the desire. But we're still talking about Audi bringing it's two top-spec racers - and its huge budget and its nearly neurotic attention to detail - to a race that it uses as a test bed for The 24 Hours of Le Mans and as a way to open the endurance racing season with a victory.
Besides, 12 hours is a long time, especially at Sebring, and things didn't go all Audi's way. On top of that, although it was a pretty quiet race, behind the Audis things got even grimier, with plenty of battles, plenty of mechanical issues, and the new BMW Z4 GTE and Viper GTS-R being race tested. Oh, and that brand new chromed-out DeltaWing...
