LOOK AT THESE PHOTOS, THIS IS THE CLEANEST 1987 PICKUP I'VE EVER SEEN, I'VE BEEN A MECHANIC FOR 30 YRS AND I'VE NEVER SEEN ONE THIS NICE. NO RUST ON THE FRAME AT ALL. CLEAN CLEAN INTERIOR, THIS TRUCK HAS THE ORIGINAL ROCKER PANELS AND ALMOST ALL OF THE 87 MODELS I'VE SEEN HAVE A SPOT OF RUST SOMEWHERE IN THE ROCKERS, NOT THIS ONE. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL PAINT ON THIS TRUCK AND LOOKS LIKE IT JUST CAME FROM THE GM PLANT. I'M NOT SURE THAT SOMEWHERE ALONG THE LINE SOMEONE GOT THE MILEAGE WRONG, ADDITIONAL PHOTOS ARE COMING TO SHOW HOW SPOTLESS THE BED AND BUMBERS AND FRAME ARE. HAPPY BIDDING THIS IS ONE TO OWN. GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
