  • Goodmark steel cowl induction hood.
  • New AC
  • 383 stroker

The interior is all original and is in wonderful condition with NO cracks in the dash, seat is perfect and power windows and locks work as they should. This truck can be shown, driven and raced. It has over 500 HP yet can be driven daily should you desire to do so. You can have a HOT ROD that is drivable with cold AC and will run with the best on the weekends. I have a video of the truck at a test and tune and it beat a Dodge SRT10 by half the track length. WOW!!!! What fun!!! Truck hooks up nice but has not been abused in anyway. It is still new with less than 1000 miles since the build.
You would be hard pressed to find an older truck such as this that is this nice without a total restoration.
I can't say enough about what a FUN ride this is and drivable!!!!

My wife wants a new car so the truck has to go. My loss is your gain..... really!!!!!
This is a BUY IT NOW or best offer auction, so no need to wait and miss out.
You are welcome to see the truck in person or have someone look for you PRIOR to bidding as your opinion could vary, but there will be no joy rides please.
The truck is being sold "AS IS" and is a high performance vehicle that we are not responsible for any misuse of such vehicle.

800k car names trademarked globally, suddenly alphanumerics seem reasonable

Tue, 01 Oct 2013 11:01:00 EST

What's in a name? This cliched phrase probably gets tossed out at every marketing meeting that happens when a new car gets its nomenclature. We know the answer, though: everything. The name of a car has all the potential to make or break it with fickle customers that are more conscious than ever about what their purchases say about them.
That's giving headaches to marketing folks across the automotive industry. "It's tough. In 1985 there were about 75,000 names trademarked in the automotive space. Today there are 800,000," Chevrolet's head of marketing, Russ Clark, told Automotive News. Infiniti's president, Johan de Nysschen, echoed Clark's sentiment, saying, "The truth of the matter is, across the world, there is hardly a name or a letter that hasn't already been claimed by one car manufacturer or another. You can go through the alphabet - A, B, C and so forth - and you will quickly see that almost all available letters are taken."
What has that left automakers to do? Get creative. In the case of Infiniti, it made the controversial move to bring all of its cars' names into a new scheme, classifying them as Q#0 for cars and QX#0 for SUVs and crossovers. So the Infiniti G, which was available as the G25 and G37, is now the Q50. The FX37 and FX50 are now the QX70.

Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty

Tue, 05 Mar 2013 04:01:00 EST

We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.

GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices

Mon, 21 Oct 2013 17:44:00 EST

The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.
