I purchased this truck in prefect condition but had a vision of a newer truck with Old School Hot Rod influences. I had it painted 2011 Lamborghini statin black.(truck was originally black) This truck doesn't and has never had any rust and never been in any accidents. It was never used as a truck always a show truck so the truck is and was perfect. It has full Bell-Tech lowering suspension with a C-notched frame and a rear flip kit with new Bell tech shocks ( Rides like an old Caddy). I had installed a bed rug to protect bed when I put lawn chars when we go to car shows. The engine is the factory 5.7 I didn't increase to HP because I wasn't looking to make a race truck just a cruiser. I did remove the cats and installed a flowmaster exhaust ( sounds deep with no interior resonation) The wheels are custom 50's style smoothies with a Coker true white wall. The ac was converted to current specs and blows ice cold. I have installed a 2 stage fan system to help the truck run better in hot temperatures. I custom fabricated a stainless steel grill. THis was done again with old school influences. back in the 40's & 50's guys would remove their factory grills and fabricate this style of grill for when they raced on either beaches or salt flats. Only guys who know Hot Rodding get this when they see it. All the pin stripping was done buy a good friend of mine and famous Hot Rod car Builder Voo Doo Larry. The interior is pretty much factory aside from the steering wheel and gages. THis truck always been garage kept and NEVER driven in the winter. Everything works and the truck runs perfect. The only reason Im selling it is because like most car guys I have my eye on a new project and cant afford two toys at the same time. Please understand only bid what you can afford. Im not looking for trades. Over $ 25,000.00 invested in the last 2 years. I added a pic of what the truck looked like with a SS 454 grill.

GM 6.2L V8 claims most powerful light-duty truck engine title
Thu, 12 Sep 2013General Motors has officially captured the horsepower crown for mainstream pickup trucks with its 6.2-liter V8. The big mill, available in both the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, comes to market with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, handily outdoing its two cross-town competitors, Ram (5.7-liter V8, 395 ponies and 407 lb-ft) and Ford (6.2-liter V8, 411 hp and 434 lb-ft).
The new GM 6.2 will take a bit of an investment, though. Those that want the extra thrust will need to go with either the LTZ or High Country trims from the Chevy, or the SLT and Denali trims from GMC, which are the two highest trim levels for the respective vehicles. Trim levels aside, if you're in the business of towing, GM has you covered. Optioned with the 6.2-liter V8 and the Max Trailering Package, owners will be able to pull 12,000 pounds, a hugely impressive figure.
We still aren't certain as to what sort of economy the new engine will get, but it'll probably be a bad bet for the fuel conscious. As for availability, expect to see the 6.2-liter trucks in showrooms later in the fall.
Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes
Tue, 28 Aug 2012
Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.
