up for sale is a 1987 Chevrolet r-10 pickup that has only 85k original miles this is one super nice local Winston salem nc truck. has the 305 engine and 700r4 tansmission overdrive and fuel injected engine that has been unmolested. the truck has had only one repaint and a very great paintjob as well all original sheet metal no rust. very clean undercarriage with no rust still has the original spare tire as well as the interior that is flawless for its age the seat and dash is super nice as well as headliner trim pieces not cracked and carpet. I cant tell the truck has ever had anything other than the paint job everything works the way it should including the factory cruise control and the power windows that goes up and down extremely well. the only couple major flaws I see the vehicle has the windshield has a crack in it on the drivers side. the grill on the front has a couple small cracknot even really noticible just 2 little ones and the door on the pass side could use a little adjusting as it is a little out of adjustment making it a little hard to shut. Read This: Auto Extremist advocates for Corvette as brand with multiple models [w/poll]
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin. GM to make most cars LTE hotspots for 2015
Mon, 25 Feb 2013General Motors isn't the first automaker to deliver in-car Internet access, but a proposed plan announced today could make the technology more widespread than any of its competitors have offered. By the 2015 model year, most Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC products in the US and Canada will offer 4G LTE mobile broadband access. Initially, GM will just be pairing with AT&T to deliver this service, but additional carriers will be revealed in the future.
Current in-car Wi-Fi hot spots are limited to 3G, but GM says that 4G LTE is 10 times faster than 3G service and will allow for full Internet access, including streaming video for entertainment as well as services like real-time traffic updates and navigation driving directions. There is also no need for a paired smartphone with this new system, which should make it easier to use, and GM and AT&T will also be working together to develop new apps for customers.
Buyers can expect to start seeing 4G LTE in their cars starting next year, and GM is already planning to expand the service to other global markets as well. All of the information from GM's announcement is posted in a press release below.
