1985 K10 Short Bed Silverado 4x4 Ram Jet Fuel Injected 350 Crate Motor on 2040-cars

Year:1985 Mileage:999999

Waldron, Arkansas, United States

1985 K-10 1/2 Ton 4 X 4 short wheel base.  This truck was bought new in Little Rock, AR, and has remained in Arkansas for its' entire life. We are the third owners.  This truck has always been properly cared for and it definitely shows.  It has all the original paint that is in very good condition, except for the hood which is peeling. The hood could easily be repainted, but we chose to leave all original.  Lots of money has been spent mostly by the second owner.  He wanted the dependability of fuel injection, so he purchased a new GM Ram Jet fuel injected 350 (330 HP) crate motor and had it professionally installed.  This installation included factory fuel pumps in the tanks identical to the 1987 model.  At the time of installation, all new accessories were installed along with factory serpentine belt system. The 700 R4 transmission was also completely rebuilt and beefed up at this time. The truck has approximately 26,000 miles since this work was performed. All door and window rubber and weather strips have been replaced with new.  We have installed a Rough Country 4 inch suspension lift (springs in front/blocks in rear), 35/1250/15 BFG Mud Terrains (currently 75% tread remaining) on the factory rally wheels, all new shocks, new front rotors/pads, repacked front bearings with new seals, and new Pioneer stereo system with Kenwood speakers (in factory locations). Everything works as it should: cold a/c, heat, all gauges, power windows/door locks, wipers, lights, and 4-wheel drive system.  Cruise control is all there, just not hooked up. The truck was ordered from the factory with limited slip differential and engine oil cooler.  This truck has absolutely no rust other than very little surface rust on hood. This truck is very solid and tight.  Lots of receipts on items not mentioned, pictures speak for themselves.  This truck runs, drives, and stops as it should.  Still has the original owner's manuals. Interior is in very good shape with no signs of being smoked in. The factory jack and tools are still mounted under the hood. The odometer is showing 76,555, we do not  know if that is actual. If you have any questions, please email or feel free to call Allen at 479-207-2946.

C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.

Joe Flacco wins C7 Corvette along with MVP honors

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

As part of a longstanding tradition, the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII, Joe Flacco, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was given a new car directly after the game and trophy celebrations. For 2013, that car is a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and it was presented to Flacco by Rick Flick of Banner Chevrolet, a dealership in New Orleans that was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 before returning to prominence as the only Chevy dealer in Orleans Parish.
Last year, Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning took home a 2012 Corvette GS Centennial Edition. Manning also won in 2008, when he selected a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid as his reward. In 2011, quarterback Aaron Rodgers accepted the keys to a Camaro convertible.
Though we're most definitely an auto-obsessed group, we did watch the Big Game along with nearly everyone else in America. And we've gotta say, as if winning the Super Bowl and receiving the Tiffany-designed Pete Rozelle Trophy wasn't enough for the multi-millionaire MVP athletes, a brand-new C7 seems like an awfully generous prize. Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
