1977 Chevrolet K10 4x4, I have had this truck for the past 15 years. It has been sitting in the garage for the past 8-10 years, with about 5,000 miles put on in that time. I have decided it is time to let it go. So here is a run down of what I have into it, and a few small things that it still needs. Newer 350 engine with about 15k miles, edelbrock cam, intake manifold, and carb. hooker headers, new cap, rotor, plugs, wires. new oil and filter. Also just cleaned up and detailed under the hood. New clutch, rebuilt 4 speed manual trans, NP 205 t-case, dana 44 front axle, 12 bolt posi rear axle. I also just pulled the interior and heater ducting apart and cleaned and detailed the inside. Still needs to have the cd player and door panels put back in, I do have them and they go with the truck. 6" lift with 35" tires. This is a very nice clean old truck, now here is a list of the things that need to be fixed or finished. Re-install the door panels and cd player, the rear axle needs to have some shims put in to adjust the pinion angle, this could also be accomplished by turning the rear blocks around to get the proper pinion angle. I also have and extra Dana 44 front axle to go with the truck, the one that is in the truck has a couple teeth broken off the ring gear. I never did have a front driveline in the truck, I just used it to drive down the highway and around town so I never had a use for 4 wheel drive. If you have any questions feel free to email. NO RESERVE

Watch the live reveal of the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra [UPDATE]
Thu, 13 Dec 2012UPDATE: The trucks have been revealed. Click here for all of the official details.
As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).
Shift your eyes down just below to see the reveal as it happens, starting at 9:30 AM EST. We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned. We'll also be bringing you live images of both trucks too, when we see them on the show floor at next month's Detroit Auto Show.
Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme
Mon, 17 Dec 2012They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
2015 Chevy Tahoe gets Police Patrol Vehicle treatment
Thu, 07 Nov 2013That was fast. Mere days after showing a Police Concept based on the 2015 Tahoe at the SEMA Show, Chevrolet has announced that it will build a PPV model based on the SUV to do battle with the Ford Police Interceptor Utility (Explorer) and Dodge Durango Special Service.
You'll recall that the Tahoe has been police staple for several years, predating both the Explorer and Durango police variants, so the fact that the new model would spawn a police variant is hardly surprising. Like the civilian model, the 2015 PPV benefits from a more efficient 5.3-liter, direct-injection V8 that pumps out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. It also features more high-strength steel, offering better crash protection, on top of optional safety items like lane departure warning, forward collision alert and a Safety Alert Seat.
The press release is rather light on police-specific items, aside from the auxiliary battery, which keeps the myriad of electronics in a modern police car running even when the engine isn't. Lightbars, 17-inch steel wheels on Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires and a push bar round out the mods for the Tahoe PPV. The cabin features a revised center console and room for laptop and other equipment mounts.
