Hi, Here is my uncle's nice 1970 Chevy regular cab short bed pickup truck that has spent all its life here in dry California and has little to no rust. Body is very straight and has all the trims on it mostly all in pretty amazing shape. It looks pretty much classic stock from the outside but it has gotten a young 5.3L LS engine and automatic tranny from a 2005 Silverado donor with about 60k miles. Turns on very well and purrs very nicely but roars when you hit the gas and tear down the road. It has an Edelbrock timing control module manifold and carb along with its fuel pump. This truck has power disc brakes in front and drums in the back, power steering, sliding rear window, has its original factory tilt steering column, it is an A/C truck but haven't gotten to finishing up connecting the new generator from the 2005 to the 1970 hoses. Has a very nice wood bed, the tailgate and wheel well buckets great with no dents and looks like this truck was never ever loaded with anything. It has been upgraded with power windows and locks done very nicely. Also has a hidden tow hitch behind the rear license plate. Tires have very good thread left, front about 90% rear about 80%. When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.

2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray order guide hits the web

The official debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is only part of the excitement for fans of Chevy's virtuoso sportscar. Although we got to see the car and some of its preliminary specs in Detroit and Geneva, there is still no word on pricing and some of the juicier data points we've been waiting for - such as confirmed power output, EPA estimated mileage figures and performance numbers. Until then, CorvetteBlogger has gotten its hands on the order guide for the coupe version of the car - in both base and Z51 iterations - revealing tidbits like standard and optional features and available color combinations.
Some other new details made it onto the order guide, such as our first interior specs for the coupe including slightly less hip room and headroom, more shoulder room and the same amount of legroom.
