1986 Chevy 1/2 ton 2wd stepside

This is a project that has had a lot done to it. It is a desert truck living mostly in AZ and NV. So there was no rust repair needed before it got a fresh House of Kolor Candy paint job. The bedwood is new red oak with clear semi gloss UV coating. New Rear bumper and new taillights.

I bought the truck as a basket case and put it back together. It has a 4 bolt main 350 that has a larger than stock cam. Im not sure the size of the cam but had to tune the 1406 Edelbrock carb to match it. It also has an Edelbrock aluminum intake. Hedman headers handle the exhaust into 2 1/4 dual pipes that have dual converters and dual 40 series flowmaster mufflers and a crossover pipe.

The transmission is a 700R4 that has a Transgo shift improver kit installed.

Front suspension is Bell Tech springs and spindles and the rear is shackles and leaf delete. There is NO C Notch

The Interior is mostly stock with billet inserts on the doors and instrument panel. The dash and headliner and doors have tweed.

Wheels are 18" IROC type with G Force tires.

 Power windows, power locks, A/C

The pictures tell the story. If you have any questions please ask before bidding.

Sold AS IS Where Is. Buyer responsible for shipping/pick up

GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue

Wed, 14 Nov 2012

General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
