1984 Chevy K-10 Swb 4wd Fleetside on 2040-cars
Oroville, California, United States
Up for bidding is a 1984 1/2 ton 4x4. It has a small block 350 engine, Turbo 350 transmission, and a NP208 transfer case. I think it originally had a 700R4 because the gear indicator shows an overdrive. Its a good runner, but is a bit cold blooded when it hasn't run for a while. Once its warmed up, it runs good and the transmission shifts well and the 4wd works good. The power steering works good, but the AC probably needs charged. This is almost rust free with the main concern being the area where the camper shell seal rubbed on the perimeter of the back window. Its not rotten, but will need to be sanded and painted before it gets bad. There is a big dent on the passenger side door and just a few dings on the rest of the truck. The paint is worn and there are areas of surface rust mainly on the hood and will need to be repainted soon. The grille is cracked and there is some small damage at the bottom of the right front fender well. The tires have over 50% tread, but the chrome wheels are getting rusty. The tailgate is straight and the tailgate trim band is nice with only a couple of small dings. The cab trim band is nice and will need the stains buffed out. The plastic body trim is worn out and should be removed. Overall, this truck has a clean body and won't take much body work to have it ready for paint. I looked under the truck and it is very solid with no signs of rust. It has a cracked windshield, a broken pin on the driver wing window, but I can include a replacement wing window assembly. The power window on the driver side does not work and the passenger side is slow, and there is a missing switch bezel, but the door locks work great. The interior has some fading, has a tear in the seat, and the carpet is worn out by the drivers feet. The plastic end on the turn signal lever needs to be replaced. The cargo light is missing from the truck having a camper shell, but I can include a replacement one. The tilt steering column is nice and tight. Comes with a receiver hitch. Buyer responsible for shipping and I will cooperate with your shipper to make it as easy as possible for delivery. Please do not bid if you have a zero feedback history without contacting me first. I will not release the truck until your funds have cleared. Paypal for the deposit and cash or cashiers check for the balance. If you have any questions, please call or text me at 530-370-9200...text is best as my phone service area is bad Thanks, Ray |

Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4
Wed, 29 May 2013Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!
Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
GM applies for LT5, LTX trademarks... are new small block variants coming?
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Recently discovered General Motors trademark applications for LT4, LT5, LT88 and LTX have observers wondering what kind of high-performance offerings could be on their way. A new LT4 would mark a return of the engine designation first used on the Corvette Grand Sport, SLP Pontiac Firehawk and SLP Chevrolet Camaro SS from 1996 and 1997. Supposition at Corvette Forum - which provided advance intel on the C7 like these leaked images - believes a new LT4 could go into the high-performance trim of the next-gen, 2015 Camaro that would be more powerful than the 580-horsepower Camaro ZL1.
Seeing an LT5 again would also be déjà vu - in its former life it was a 5.7-liter V8 for the C4 Corvette ZR-1 from 1990-1994 designed by Lotus, producing from 370 hp to 405 hp. A mix of rumor and hope is that the new LT5 will be a supercharged evolution of the 6.2-liter LT1 (pictured) placed in the new C7 Corvette, and that it will go into the C7 version of the ZR1 pumping out something like 700 hp.
The LTX trademark is, as with that last letter, a complete mystery. If the "X" isn't a generic way to denote the whole LT family, it's wondered if it LTX could refer to a crate motor offering like the LSX.
