Mount Clemens, Michigan, United States

I have a 1978 Chevy C10 with a 350. It has always been garaged. Never driven in the salt or snow and avoided rain the best I could since I owned it. The truck has been restored by previous owner in about 2005. Truck currently shows 66,891 as of posting.

Engine: Brand new crate 350 installed at 66,710 miles with 4 barrel carb, Mild cam, 4 bolt Main, and dual plane Intake . Chrome dress up kit air cleaner and valve covers. Equal length Headers 181 Miles on motor as of posting.

Exhaust: 2 1/2" mandrel bent with X pipe; with a nice sound.

Suspension: 2600# bags all around with compressor/valves/tank all mounted under the truck. KYB drop shocks, 1 1/8" front sway bar. Producing a full 8-10" drop; however, the rear frame has been slightly notched to allow for additional drop. The front cross member is also stock and lays on the pavement when front bags are fully deflated.

Transmission: Factory turbo 350 with Shift kit installed. Mechanically gone through when truck was restored.

Wheels and Tires: 20" Boyd Coddington Magneato Billet wheels with Nitto 255/35/ZR20. 2 are in perfect shape while two have slight scrapping on edge. slight camber wear on tires from driving with bags deflated, but nothing more than uneven wear across the tread. Overall, plenty of tread left.

Interior: Original Standard blue cloth bench. Carpet, bench reupholstered, and dash replaced when truck restored. Dash is great shape free of fading, or cracks. It is a nicely maintained, stock interior. Heater works and blows Hot, A/C works blows Cold. Steering wheel pictured is not included, comes with a stock wheel.

Body and paint: relatively new paint, in great shape. Completely underbody has been resprayed with satin black when truck was completely apart when restored. A nicely detailed undercarriage. Small area of rust at rear quarter panels see pics

Audio: completely stock headunit, Dash is uncut.

Title: Clean, Green Michigan title in my name that is fully transferrable without any lien

Miscellaneous: New battery.

I encourage anyone who is interested to contact me and I will talk with you about it. If your so inclined, I will send you a bunch of hi-res photos for your review to give you a good idea of what your looking at. Then, please come out and take a look.
Thank you

UAW to vote on strike at Kentucky Corvette plant

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

The current wait time for a new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is well, not short. With word of a strike at the Bowling Green, KY factory responsible for seventh-generation sports car, though, that wait time could end up growing substantially.
Now, a strike is still a ways off. UAW Local 2164, which represents the 800 workers responsible for screwing the Corvette together, is set to vote on authorizing a strike today, but even if the employees give the action a go, it's far from a sure thing. According to The Tennessean, both regional and national union officials would need to put their stamp of approval on strike action.
"The membership has to vote to strike, but it's just a step in the process," said Gary Casteel, the UAW's Region 8 director and one of the people that would need to authorize a strike action. Casteel told The Tennessean, "It's purely a local situation, though. They are having some issues with the local management."

Final C6 Corvette built in Bowling Green

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

With all of the attention given to the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray lately, you could be forgiven for thinking that it's already well along in production, yet tooling up for the new C7 has only just begun. In fact, production of the outgoing C6 generation in Bowling Green, Kentucky just halted on Thursday.
As the C6 has aged, production numbers have predictably ebbed along with demand, but this year, the addition of the 427 and 60th anniversary models resulted in an uptick in vehicles built - this, despite a model year shortened by around 25 percent to accomodate the new model changeover. The final C6 Corvette ever, No. 13,466 built this year, was a white 427 Convertible destined for the General Motors Heritage Center museum. The car's 7.0-liter V8 heart was assembled by Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter himself.
In total, Bowling Green pushed out 215,100 C6 Corvettes over nine years. If you're still a C6 fan at heart and are hoping to get a good deal on a phase-out model, step lively - Chevrolet reportedly had about 6,100 unsold units, which Autoweek suggests is good for around five and a half months of supply at the model's current sales rates. Given that demand will likely slacken even further as the C7 draws closer, that should be a big enough stockpile to keep dealers satisfied until 2014 Stingrays begin showing up on their forecourts in December.

GM applies for LT5, LTX trademarks... are new small block variants coming?

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Recently discovered General Motors trademark applications for LT4, LT5, LT88 and LTX have observers wondering what kind of high-performance offerings could be on their way. A new LT4 would mark a return of the engine designation first used on the Corvette Grand Sport, SLP Pontiac Firehawk and SLP Chevrolet Camaro SS from 1996 and 1997. Supposition at Corvette Forum - which provided advance intel on the C7 like these leaked images - believes a new LT4 could go into the high-performance trim of the next-gen, 2015 Camaro that would be more powerful than the 580-horsepower Camaro ZL1.
Seeing an LT5 again would also be déjà vu - in its former life it was a 5.7-liter V8 for the C4 Corvette ZR-1 from 1990-1994 designed by Lotus, producing from 370 hp to 405 hp. A mix of rumor and hope is that the new LT5 will be a supercharged evolution of the 6.2-liter LT1 (pictured) placed in the new C7 Corvette, and that it will go into the C7 version of the ZR1 pumping out something like 700 hp.
The LTX trademark is, as with that last letter, a complete mystery. If the "X" isn't a generic way to denote the whole LT family, it's wondered if it LTX could refer to a crate motor offering like the LSX.
