Your looking @ a TRUE Texas Barn find truck.

It's was parked about 8 years ago in a barn in North Texas
by an older gentleman.
Since I have had it I have done the following:
Changed all fluids, flushed all systems,
Installed a new master cylinder and booster
Ran Compression check on the 350 (145 -150 on all 8)
Rebuilt the whole front end to include
tie rod ends, control arm bushings, p/s pump,
Dropped spindles and springs,
converted to 5 lug disc brakes, and hoses.
Lower in rear with dropped coils also.
The 350 is mated to a Muncie m-21 with fresh clutch and t/o bearing
and surfaced flywheel.
There is only 1 spot of rust and it's on the passenger rocker,
could easily be patched or cut in a new ($15) rocker.
All glass is good with no cracks.
Paint has the clear coat goin away in a few places,
but could be sanded and buffed to give it the "True Barn Find " look.
Wood in bed is servicable, was replaced @ 1 time with S.S. Strips
Grille surround is nice
Has Centerline wheels with approx 70% on the tires(no dry rot)
Has aftermarket A/C which needs a charge.
Bumpers are straight and driver quality
Runs and drives good.
Not representing this as a show truck by any means, just a good solid truck for you to take to the next level if you desire.
Awful lotta JUNK out there that guys want 7 to 8000 for,
This truck is well worth the investment

GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.

Silverado HD, Touareg V10 TDI face off in diesel tug-of-war

Sun, 30 Dec 2012

A couple weeks ago, we watched a Chevrolet Silverado get dominated by a Dodge Ram Heavy Duty in a fullsize pickup tug-of-war, but in that truck's defense, Chevy's Vortec gas engine was no match for the torquey Cummins turbo diesel. For our next round of vehicular tug-of-war, a Duramax-powered Silverado HD takes on Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI.
Now, on paper, putting the Duramax V8's 365 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque up against the V10's 310 hp and 553 lb-ft looks like an easy win for the Bowtie, but unfortunately, this battle has a similar result as the Dodge versus Chevy video, with the Silverado smoking its tires trying to move forward as it gets pulled backwards. Put another way: YouTube 2, Chevy Silverado 0.
It just goes to show, though, that big tires, bolt-on fender flares and goofy smoke stacks don't improve your towing abilities. Besides, what did the Silverado driver expect when the Touareg V10 TDI has towed a Boeing 747 in the past?
