Hi all,  I hate to do it but I'm finally ready to part with my beloved truck.  If you're looking for a show truck, this ain't it as the price reflects.  It is, however, a numbers matching good running nice looking truck that turns heads everywhere and would be the easiest restoration ever if you decided to go that route.  It has the original 250 straight six, a bullitproof motor.  head was recently redone with upgraded valves to run on unleaded gas.  New parts include a correct for year rochester single barrel carb, fuel pump, and battery.  Lots of other stuff too, just can't remember off the top of my head.  Automatic transmission shifts smooth.  Brakes stop good.  Frame looks great.  Please look at all pictures, I would encourage any serious bidders to come examine the truck prior to bidding.  Now the bad.  It could use a new seat cover, some very minor tears in the currant one.  It could use some fine tuning after the recent new carb and head jobs. Starts right up and runs great, but I think it could smooth out just a little more.  Very minor rust. Some surface rust in the bed from where the prior owner had a bedliner, which will be included if you want it.  A couple holes rusted through at the bottom of the inside of the tailgate.  Hard to notice unless you know they're there.  It does have a classic radio conversion tape deck.  Also has original owners manual, factory order sheet, and a couple boxes of miscellanious small parts that come with it.  Five hundred due via paypal within 24 hours.  Remainder due cash within one week.  Will hold truck for a resonable amount of time for you to arrange pickup or shipping.  Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding.  And please be serious and have the funds available as this listing is not cheap.  O, I won't tell you the reserve but I will say that this truck is well above average, but the reserve is way less than half the average retail.  So bid early, bid often, and bid high.  Thanks for checking it out and get back to me with any questions or to see it.  Thanks

Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum

Fri, 02 May 2014

Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.

The story of the 2014 Chevrolet SS: "Luxury, power, refinement, handling"

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Not including the women and men who built it, the 2014 Chevrolet SS has only been seen in person by a piddling number of people - fewer humans than would fill the gymnasium at a high school volleyball game. Not including the men and women who built it, no one has driven it. Even so, it is already saddled with two controversies: the way it looks and the way it shifts.
First to that shifting. Did we love the last Americanized Holden, the awesomely sportsome Pontiac G8 GXP, and its six-speed manual? Of course. Do we wish the SS came with a six-speed manual? Of course. But we'd like a toboggan to come with a manual transmission. We'd put a manual transmission on a weasel if we could because we're just wired that way; if it moves, it should come with a stick and a clutch. Or at least the option.
Let's climb down off the ledge, though. We haven't driven the SS and we have no idea how good (or not) the automatic is. And the Hobson's Choice in transmissions when it comes to sport sedans like the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and Jaguar XFR-S and, oh yeah, cars-that-really-should-have-manuals like the Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R and Porsche 918 and every single Lamborghini and Ferrari, for instance, hasn't stopped us from enjoying what is clearly the gruesome, dual-clutched demise of Western automotive civilization. Because in spite of our ululations at the dying of the six-speed light, we understand.

Refreshed 2014 Camaro confirmed for New York debut

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

We've already seen leaked specs and potential spy shots, but the refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks.
Besides a tweaked exterior and the possibility of a high-output LS7 under the hood, we really don't know much else about the 2014 Camaro, but here's hoping for an improved interior, too.
In addition to the refreshed Camaro, Chevrolet will also be showing off the recently introduced Chevrolet SS, making its debut on the auto show circuit, and we'll also get our first look at the C7 Corvette coupe and convertible side-by-side.
