very nice little stepside pick up. engine runs great with no smoke or blow-by. has nice little choppy idle thanks to a rv grind cam im told. headers and dual exhaust gives a nice muscle car sound with out being to loud. 3 speed transmition shifts well and doesn't hangup between shifts. power steering which seems to be nice and tight. I don't hear any rear end noice and no noticeable slop in driveline. tires are also n good shape. all new window rubbers and seals. window fuzzys seam to b original. seat, carpet and dash also good shape. paint is shiny with very few road chips. stakepocket holes have been smoothed n and my favorite part is the beautiful wood kit n the bed. new bumpers new grill. truck runs and drives great. email or call 540-309-8027 with questions. try to arrange a time to inspect for yourself. my description and pictures are for convenience only and will not be garranteed as everybodys opinion of condition is different. Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles
Tue, 06 Aug 2013General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.
