1978 Chevy Blazer 2 Door on 2040-cars
Tarzana, California, United States
Runs and Drives great. Very powerful. The engine, transmission and transfer case are from a 1988 Chevrolet 2500 pick-up. It has a new 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor, a new alternator, a full tune-up including AC Delco spark plugs, ignition cable set, distributor cap, ignition rotor. The engine oil, transmission, transfer case and differential fluids have also all been serviced. It has a new Interstate group 78 battery and a new electric fuel pump and inline filter. The truck starts right up and idles well. The A/C system needs to have hoses installed and charged. There is a minimal amount of rust in only a couple of spots around the windshield. The rest of the body and under carriage is rust free and in great condition. I bought this as a project and have moved on to the next one. This is a great looking truck that gets a lot of attention and would be really great for someone that can do the remaining finishing work. On the interior photos of the fender wells, what looks like rust is the glue from the carpet that was removed. There is no rust whatsoever inside the truck. This is a convertible, so the top comes off. There is a crack in the windshield. |

"Turbo" Chevrolet Camaro is a 700-HP fantasy car come to life [w/video]
Thu, 07 Feb 2013For a concept car built to promote an animated movie about a snail that wants to go racing, this thing ain't half bad. The outsized monster you see before you started life as a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and then went through a big-time Hollywood makeover before being positioned on the Chevrolet stand here in Chicago.
This 2013 "Turbo" Camaro Coupe is getting the promotion machine ratcheted up for a new DreamWorks tale by the name of, you guessed it, Turbo. Coming this summer, the movie will follow one snail's quest to become a race driver worthy of making the cut at the Indy 500. Like many DreamWorks vehicles before it, we're guessing that the petrolhead snail will star in a movie that adults (especially racing fans) with have no trouble watching with their kids. Check out the trailer below to see if you agree.
As for the car, we're told that it is "instrumental" in transforming Turbo from snail into racer. Helping the beastly pony car in this mighty task, is an ankle-cracking front splitter matched by a ungodly huge rear wing out back, a COPO hood and a supercharged (yes, supercharged) V8 engine making more than 700 horsepower. 24-inch wheels all the way around - 10-inches wide in front and 15-inches wide in back - should allow the "Turbo" Camaro to hook up with ease, as well.

There once was a time when Daewoo was one of the biggest companies in South Korea. It was larger than both LG and Samsung, and second only to Hyundai. But these days the name is all but gone.
Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why
Sun, 27 Jan 2013Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
If you have about five minutes and you can't get enough information about the new 'Vette, then check out the videos posted below.
