1977 Chevy Blazer in great shape.  This is by far the cleanest blazer I have seen.  Too many upgrades to mention but here are a few.  $3000 sound system with keyless locks and remote starter.  Stereo is exact replica of original stereo but with MP3 capabilities.  Sound system includes JVC speakers with 2 10 inch subwoofers in the back with their respective amplifiers and second battery to support hours of music listening while the car is off.  Tires are brand new with approximately 1000 miles in them.  I have added some horsepower with a complete exhaust system, including borla exhaust mufflers and headers.  K&N air intake system and MSD ignition system were all added at the same time.  Other upgrades include cramshaft and lifters for added power and sound.

I am selling this vehicle because we have no need for it and I wanted to use it as my daily driver.  Right now, I use the blazer about 3 times a week for short drives.  This car runs great and looks great.  If I keep it, I would repaint the white middle section since the previous owner had gold decals all over this vehicle.  I would also have all the gold painted stuff removed, such as the bumper and repaint the wheels. I almost forgot to mention, I am the second owner of this vehicle and the 89000 are original miles.

Buyer will pay for shipping and I will accomadate the transaction to the fullest of my abiltiies and welcome and questions you might have.  Thanks for looking.

GM looks to combat high theft rates on SUVs with added tech

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

The Cadillac Escalade has been at or near the top of most-stolen and insurance-loss lists for more than seven years, until it dropped to number six earlier this year. In 2011 it was fitted with a host of new security features to address its easy-to-override features and that has brought the number of thefts down, but when eight of the ten most stolen rides are large SUVs from General Motors, no one will argue that something else needs to be done.
Thus, GM has fitted this same theft-deterring tech to the 2015 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The Suburban and Tahoe will get the steering lock that the Escalade and Yukon already get, plus bolted-down third-row seats to deter thefts like this, stronger door lock cylinders and shields, and side-cut keys to inhibit picking.
Additional security measures in a Theft Protection Package can be purchased for $395, consisting of sensors on the greenhouse glass and interior, an incline/tilt sensor and added "key control systems" to make it more difficult for the men in black balaclavas to steal what you bought.

GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.
