1971 Chevrolet Blazer Base Sport Utility 2-door 5.7l on 2040-cars
Flowery Branch, Georgia, United States
I am offering a 1971 K5 Chevy Blazer. The vehicle is in excellent condition. It has 4 WD, Vintage Air, Aluminum Radiator, Crate 350 SBC, Hooker Headers with Flowmaster Exhaust, MSD ignition, aftermarket radio and more. I have replaced all leaf springs with OEM parts, the power steering gear, added dual steering shocks, ride shocks, and stiffened the front suspension for a very nice ride. The shocks are meant for a 2" lift but the standard height shocks are included. The vehicle has all new wiring as well and everything works. All in, I have spent about $15K on improvements and I have all of the receipts. These are not on the market very often especially in this shape. This is part of a total liquidation of my collectible mini bikes, motorcycles, and my 69 Camaro. I work and travel so much I just don't have the time to enjoy them. I would be open to interesting trades, however. One day I will own a 72 Chevy Cheyenne SB so I can be tempted. This really is a very nice piece. I bought it about a year ago and I don't think I've put 1000 miles on it. Somebody that has the time and passion for this piece of history needs to own it and enjoy it. Thank you for your consideration and interest. Because of the goofy sales tax laws in Georgia I have the Blazer registered but it will be sold on bill-of-sale. In Georgia, if you're an honest person you pay sales tax on the purchase price and get a title or you can get the state registration for about $200. I was honest but I chose the $200 option.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph
Tue, 01 Oct 2013Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.
GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect
Tue, 17 Aug 20102010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
2015 Chevrolet Cruze spied on its home turf
Tue, 23 Apr 2013The next Chevrolet Cruze isn't set to go into production for about another year, and we're just now seeing prototypes of the new compact running around here in the States. Not much more has been revealed since we saw the car blasting through the snow in Europe, but we can still clearly see new design elements like the larger grille, slimmer headlamps and redesigned taillamps.
Our spy photographers worked up a composite image of this Cruze prototype alongside the current model, and here, we can clearly see some big visual changes are in store for the new model. The 2015 Cruze's hood slopes downward more dramatically, the windshield is more heavily raked, and the roofline looks more fluid overall. The next-generation Cruze will ride on the new global Delta platform that will also underpin other General Motors vehicles like the Chevrolet Volt and Equinox.
As for what's under the hood, we expect the normal range of gasoline four-cylinder engines (both naturally aspirated and turbocharged), and the compact's new turbodiesel four should carry over, as well. Have a look at the full brace of spy photos in the gallery above.
