Your looking at a 1957 Chevrolet 2 door post that has been in storage for quite some time and I am listing this for a friend because he wants the room.  The car is a project car only and has issues but can be used for a drag car such as a gasser or street strip or a rat rod or any combination that you would want.   The body (shell) is still in good shape and the frame is almost perfect but as you can see in the pictures the floor pan and the trunk pan will need to be replaced or while you are at it a person could put in a tubbed  wheel well  set up along with a Pro Street roll bar or 6 point for drag racing.  The engine is a 1969 350 small block (250 horse) that came from a Chevrolet impala. The transmission is a chevy turbo 350.  The engine ran when it was stored away but there are no guarantees that it will. The car also has front disk brakes.

There is chrome parts in the car, I know that the rear bumper is there and the quarter panel belair trim and side moldings along with hood chrome and there are many other misc parts that will go with the car.  The rear quarter panels have had new sheet metal put in them at one time , one side was a complete panel and the other a half panel put in. All of the glass (front and back and side) is in the car.

The pictures basically show all of the parts that come with the car. As I said you are buying a project car and I know that some people prime cars black in order to hide things but what you see is the way that it was when it came out of the building. There is a clear OHIO title for the car just in case you would want to put it back on the street, Which some people have done so with cars a whole lot worse that this one. I do reserve the right to sell locally. and I can deliver the car up to 200 miles if needed.  Any questions feel free to ask  Thanks for looking.

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
