1960 Chevrolet Belair

1960 Chevy Belair.  This car is an awesome driver and looks really cool too.  Has a pretty fresh 350, small cam, Edelbrock 650 carb, powerglide tranny, all new brakes, new gauges, brand new wheels and tires, Boss 338 18's and 20's.  Lowered a couple of inches, hits the road great, cruise's the interstate all day long at 65mph.  All the guages work, the radio works, the speedo doesn't, their is no needle, the seats have been recovered, and the carpet is fairly new, would recommend some door panels, it looks like its just thin pieces of plywood that has been covered, has a cool look to it, but would recommend replacing.  All the glass is good. The driver side has had floor panels put in years ago looks like, the passenger side floors are perfect.  The trunk is in good shape, looks like it had some fiberglass repair done on it years ago.  The passenger front fender is the worst part of the whole car, it has had some bondo put in it and repainted years ago, I have a perfect front fender on another parts car that I will include.  I have tried to show all the flaws in my videos. Remember this is by no means a show car, but its not gonna take 50k to buy it either, its a cool looking, fun, reliable, affordable driver.  For more info feel free to call or text 336-362-8095

Corvette Stingray designer lists five goals of new exterior shape

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.

GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.
