This is a project that has been partially completed. When finished it will make a good driver quality restoration. This is not a show quality restoration and has been completed to this point by an amateur in his back yard. If you want to do a show car restoration you will have to start again from the beginning. The rear quarter panel was replaced before I purchased the car. The body was removed from the frame and the frame and underside of the body completed. The vehicle has the original floors and they are in good condition. The body work has been completed to the extent it's almost ready for paint. The interior of the trunk needs finish work. The car comes with a rear window, vent windows and the two side rear windows in used condition. All door and window apparatus has been removed is included in original condition in box's. Several small new parts for restoration are also included. Both bumpers are with the car. The front bumper is a California style one-piece unit that should be re-platted. The rear bumper could be used as is for a driver after cleaning and polishing. All side stainless is included in good original condition. The rear chrome parts are also included in fair original condition but need to be polished. All of the interior is there with the exception of the front seat. The rear seat frame is there without any covering. An original radio and clock are with the car in unknown condition. A dual master cylinder has been installed with new brake lines. These are not functional as the master cylinder should be removed to paint the car. A new gas tank and radiator has been installed. I have a free and clear Arizona tittle in hand. To ask questions reply through eBay or call 928-428-9207. I will not disclose the reserve price.
I've tried to describe the car to my best ability; however, it will be purchased "as is" without any guaranties or warranties. I will not ship the car but will help with loading if you want to arrange for shipping. The car is for sale locally and will be removed if sold unless the reserve price has been met. If the reserve price is reached the auction will proceed to the end. A $1000 deposit through PayPal will be required within 48 hours of auction close. The car will need to be paid for in full prior to removal. The complete price will be paid within 7-days of auction close. If these issues are not met I will relist the car and pursue all options through eBay!

Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why
Sun, 27 Jan 2013Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
If you have about five minutes and you can't get enough information about the new 'Vette, then check out the videos posted below.
Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty
Tue, 05 Mar 2013We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.
GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern
Mon, 21 Jan 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.
