I'm selling my 1957 Chevy 210 2 door wagon. Its a beautiful deep deep red paint with red and black interior.  It is an original 283 car, but it is not the original motor in it. The 283 in it is out of a Chevelle. I converted it to a 4 barrel with a holley 600 carb. The transmission was originally a 3 on the tree, but is now a turbo 350 automatic (with transmission cooler located in front of the radiator) with a Lokar shifter on the floor.  I have a small block 400 with a mild cam and a 700r4 with a shift kit I was going to put in the car, but never got around to it.  Both 400 and 700r4 will go with the car if the buyer wants them.  The car is wearing the Nomad trim as just a dress up.  The chrome all the way around the car is gorgeous!  It is in really excellent shape.  There is no rust in the car.  It has been babied the whole time its been with me.  I have added a lot to this car to keep it updated while maintaining its classic look.  Some of the items I have purchased for the car have not been installed yet, but will go with the car.  I have added 5 seat belts in the car to make is safer to ride in for my kids.  Ok, now on to the list of goodies.  I have installed 4 KYB gas adjust shocks all the way around the car.  I installed both front AND rear heavy duty sway bars to help in handle, which it has.  I have a brand new complete front end rebuild kit to include, tie rods, ball joints, poly-bushings etc. I have brand new heavy duty front shocks. The brakes are power disk brakes. The rotors are slotted and cross drilled. It stops on a dime, but I have gone ahead and bought I new dual diaphragm brake booster with proportioning valve and lines.  I have changed all the door locks out for a ONE KEY lock. Meaning all the doors, glove box, tail gate and ignition all work by the same key, and I have two keys.  I have installed a brand new Spectra gas tank, gas lines, and mechanical fuel pump. The car has a brand new Be Cool 2 row aluminum radiator and the car runs really cool. On average around town, it hangs around 175 to 185 degrees.  The car has been completely re-wired with an American Autowire kit. I have purchased a new Rain Gear wiper system, but just have not installed it.  It is the two speed system with a delay.  This car was one that was ordered with a padded dash.  I have a NOS black padded dash that goes with the car. I also have a new 15" factory style steering wheel.  It looks exactly like the factory 18" wheel.  I have 5 brand new Autometer Phantom gauges with the adapter.  The gauges are a 5" meachanical speedometer, gas gauge, water temp, oil pressure, and volt meter.  The car already has a white face tach I installed on the steering column.  The car's heater core is no good, so I bought a brand new aluminum heater core with copper valve and new GM stamped hoses and clamps.  The car is rolling on Foose wheels.  The wheel sizes are 17x7 in the front and 17x8 in the rear.  The tires only have about 2,000 miles on them. Their sizes are 225/50/17 front and 255/45/17 rear. They fit real nice and don't rub at all.  I do have a set of 15x7 ralley wheels with the trim rings I will be sending with the car as an extra set of wheels and tires.  The windows have been tinted only 20%. They are not that dark but it does help with keeping it cool in the summer.  If you have anything you want to ask about the car, feel free to message me.  I am open to offers, but NO TRADES!!!

Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.

GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")
