1957 Chevrolet Black Widow Tribute
57 150 salesman coupe, same cars used for the famous Black Widows [factory built race cars]
this car came from the factory without a rear seat, radio delete, clock delete, and fixed rear windows, same as the widows.
car has a nice running 283 motor, turbo 350 transmission, 605 power steering box, tilt wheel, edelbrock intake and carb, flowmaster mufflers, new windsheild all new window rubbers, new custom made door panels, see spider web design in lower corners, very nice black power / heated leather bucket seats, headliner is in but old, carpets or ok for a driver,

The cars body is very straight and solid some pin holes and a small patch on the passenger front floor, all the floor braces are very good, some rust on the lower inside trunk lid by the seal, solid trunk floor and section between the bumper is nice.

The stainless is very good shape, chrome is old and has some pitting.

The wheel are smoothie style rallys with bow tie center caps painted white like the original black widows, with vintage mickey thompson white letter tires that are like new.

the black on the outside of the car is dp 90 primer, the white is fresh single stage ppg paint wheels where painted with same paint.

I was going to put a GM crate ram jet motor, aluminum radiator core support and four wheel disc brakes, comes with the new aluminum core support and filler panels. I have too many other projects to finish so i will let her go, the car runs and drives good, someone added a set of coil springs to the rearend still has the original leaf springs this was a old school trick to make the cars corner better they can be removed.
you can drive it the way it is or restore it too a Black Widow Clone, straight axle Gasser ?
feel free to call with any questions
Thanks Ron 503-750-2111

Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4

Wed, 29 May 2013

Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!

2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

2010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
