As we enter a new chapter within our lives, we will periodically sell a few pride and joys from our private
collection. Restored to original specifications with a few upgrades for safety, this is an investment grade 1956
Chevrolet Nomad. We searched extremely hard for years to find a clean, quality Nomad and believe this to be one of
the best in the world. It is a no issue west coast classic, that received a no expense spared frame off
restoration. As you can see by the honest photo's taken the day of this listing, it is in excellent condition.
Never had the need in life for any replacement floor pans nor body mounts. They're All Original and painted, no
undercoat, nor black spray bombs. Pure honest quality throughout!
When is the last time you have seen an original Nomad? This incredible Chevrolet boasts the original 265 CID V-8
attached to the original Powerglide automatic. They both have been rebuilt professionally and are with low mileage,
in excellent condition. A few upgrades from original are: Tubular upper and lower control arms with disc front
brakes for excellent stopping. Edelbrock 4BBL carburetor and manifold. New "Special Edition" American Racing 17"
wheels. A quality aluminum radiator and dual exhaust with resonating glass pack mufflers. The beautiful original
style Ciadella interior along with headliner and the exterior fit and finish are excellent. Clear glass, roll and
slide like they should. $5000 has been spent on chroming the original metal, rather than installing after market
bumpers and trim parts. New wiring. New brakes.

Chevy Corvette Stingray picks up another award, this time from Automobile
Mon, 18 Nov 2013The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has picked up another buff book accolade after capturing Road and Track's Performance Car of the Year award. The seventh-generation of America's sports car (sorry Viper, Mustang, et al.) has been named Automobile Magazine's Automobile of the Year.
Automobile's award to the Corvette over competitors is the mirror image of its rival Motor Trend, which named the Cadillac CTS its car of the year over the C7. The CTS was, according to the Automobile team, the closest contender to the mighty Stingray. Great news all around for General Motors it seems.
As for what pushed the Corvette past its distant, four-door cousin, Automobile commended its excellent, 6.2-liter V8 calling the car's performance "simply awesome" while also remarking that it is easier to drive fast than ever before thanks to steering and chassis tweaks. Following a theme set by other publications, there were also plaudits for the interior, of all things, with the buff book complimenting the car's ergonomics and material quality, while also praising the standard seats.
New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette
Mon, 04 Feb 2013If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.
Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
