1956 CHEVROLET BELAIR - 4 DOOR - ORIGINAL 265 CU. - 3 SPEED STANDARD COLUMN SHIFT - NO POWER OR RADIO - 43,022 ORIGINAL MILES RUNS GOOD - SHIFTS GOOD - BRAKES GOOD ORIGINAL WHITE OVER GREY CAR. HAD THE GREY PAINTED BLACK A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. DID NOT TURN OUT PERFECT, CAN SEE A COUPLE OF FOGGY SPOTS ON DOORS IF THE SUN HITS IT RIGHT. BUT STILL LOOKS OKAY. NEW WEATHER STRIPPING ON DOORS. SOME NEW CHROME TRIM PARTS AND EMBLEMS ON FRONT AND REAR. CRACK IN REAR WINDOW - DRIVER'S SIDE. ORIGINAL FLOORS HAD SURFACE RUST INSIDE SO THEY WERE CLEANED AND PAINTED THREE TIMES WITH RUST-OLEUM PAINT. NEW CARPET AND PAD INSTALLED. INSTALLED NEW OLD STOCK SEAT COVERS OVER ORIGINAL SEATS WHICH WERE NOT WORN OUT BUT SEAMS HAD SPLIT ON BACKS OF SEATS. GOOD WHITE WALL TIRES A FEW YEARS OLD. NEW FUEL PUMP INSTALLED LAST SUMMER. LIGHTS, TURN SIGNALS AND ALL GAUGES WORK EXCEPT GAS GAUGE. 2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel destined for Chicago debut
Mon, 28 Jan 2013It's been a little over a year and a half since General Motors first confirmed plans to offer a diesel-powered Chevrolet Cruze here in the United States, and we've now learned that the oil-burning compact will debut under the lights of the Chicago Auto Show in February. According to GM Authority, the Cruze Eco-D will be introduced as part of the entire 2014 model year Cruze range, set to go on sale in the second quarter of this year.
Earlier reports have indicated that the diesel Cruze will be able to achieve fuel economy numbers in the range of 50 miles per gallon. For comparison, the similarly sized Volkswagen Jetta TDI is rated at 30/42 mpg city/highway, but as we found out in our long-term test of the 2011 model, hitting 50 mpg was a piece of cake.
Official specifications will be released at the time of the 2014 Cruze's unveiling, though reports have stated that the sedan will be powered by a reworked version of the 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-four found in the Holden Cruze CDX overseas. In that application, the four-pot oil-burner produces 160 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque - increases of 20 hp and 29 lb-ft over the 2.0-liter engine used in VW's Jetta TDI.
Chevy confirms Corvette Stingray Convertible for Geneva
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Want proof that General Motors has increased global ambitions for its 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray? It's staging the world premiere of the model's convertible variant at the Geneva Motor Show early next month.
As previously rumored, the droptop rendered above will debut at the Swiss show, making its first appearance anywhere on March 5. According to Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet, the location makes sense because Corvette "...is an icon that has long been recognized and admired even in countries where it's never officially been offered."
While neither Chevrolet nor the Corvette has a major sales presence in Switzerland, the Bowtie's European headquarters is located in Zurich (about three hours to the northeast of Geneva) and GM has made it clear that it wants to build the Chevrolet brand up across Europe.
