IT IS TITLED TO ME IN FLORIDA AS A 1955 CHEVY CONVERTIBLE.IT IS A RUNNING AND DRIVING CAR WITH A HIPO 305 WITH CAMEL HUMP HEADS AND 75 LBS OIL PREASSURE ON STARTUP. IT ALSO HAS A 350 TURBO TRANS WITH A SHIFT KIT. IT RUNS STRONG!!.IT ALWAYS STARTS RIGHT UP AND RUNS GREAT. HAS A COUPLE DROPS OF OIL UNDER IT BUT NO SERIOUS LEAK ISSUES ANYWHERE. ALL NEW BRAKES -LINES,MASTER WITH POWER BOOSTER AND WHEEL CYLINDERS JUST DONE. ALL NEW SHOCKS-AIR SHOCKS IN REAR AND GAS IN FRONT.THIS IS VIRTUALLY A RUST FREE CAR . UNDERNEATH LOOKS GREAT BUT NO PICS, BODY HAD NO RUST HOLES AND TRUNK IS PERFECT TOO. THIS IS SUPER CLEAN SHEETMETAL BUT WILL NEED MINOR DENT REPAIR AND SANDING BEFORE PAINT BUT I GUARENTEE YOU WILL NOT NEED A WELDER FOR ANYTHING.THIS BODY IS SOLID AND CLEAN.THERE WERE SOME PINHOLES IN THE SPARE TIRE WELL IN THE TRUNK AND SAME IN THE DRIVERS FLOOR WHERE YOUR FEET GO. Next-gen Chevy Cruze caught cruising in the cold
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Spy photographers have caught what looks like the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze out on snow patrol. The camo could be tricking our eyes, but it look like it has an even tidier, more rounded front end and even lower fenders in relation to the top of the hood. And either a chunk of camo has been wedged between the side mirrors and the doors, or the mirrors are up for revision, too.
The door handles have been moved up the side of the car, leading the way to a rear end that grows a bit in length. If the rumors are true, the coming second-generation Cruze sits on the new D2XX platform that will replace the Delta and Theta platforms at General Motors. A global architecture, the Cruze will be the first to get it, but it will underpin everything from next Chevrolet Volt to the Equinox and could be responsible for 2.5 million units by 2018. The next Cruze is expected to begin production in GM's Lordstown, Ohio plant in the third quarter of 2014.
Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why
Sun, 27 Jan 2013Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
