Hi there. For sale is a 1955 chevrolet nomad in very good shape for an old survivor. There really is minimal rust on this car. We bought this car some years ago and was intending on doing a frame off resto on it, but other things have taken priority over the years. Has been stored in a heated shop. The cars body is in very good condition. Chrome and trim is in decent shape, trim is pitting. Paint is pretty good, starting to bubble here and there. There is some surface rust around the given areas on these cars. Interior is in pretty good shape, some of the rubber around the windows could definitely be replaced. I believe the odometer is correct and that it has not been turned over. I just put a new edelbrock carb on it and it runs great. I am kind of glad that it doesnt have the old powerglide and the 265 in it anymore. I believe it has a good 350 in it and it definitely has a TH350 in it. I need to run the numbers off the block to make sure. I will update this later. This makes it so much more driveable to me. The car has been repainted, and its a decent paint job. Cragar wheels and good tires. This is an old survivor car, so dont be expecting a show car for my price. This is plain and simply a driver quality car and I have very much enjoyed it as that. Its hard to say what this car is worth these days but I sure dont see any 55's around here. I am in no hurry to sell this car, dont need the money, nor do I want to get rid of it. Just thinking that someone may use it more than I do and want to do a restoration on it. Yes the serial tag is there and it does match the title. I am going to list this car locally as well as all the craigslists here on the west coast, so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time for any reason. I would like to include some pics of the bottom side of the car, probably monday or tuesday as it is going to start raining again till monday. Power windows work also, and so does the fan and heater. GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories

As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.

For those of you still with us, the first race in the United SportsCar Championship (USCC) is done, but the discussions about it certainly won't end for a while. Daytona Prototypes claimed the first four overall places, the top spot taken by the No. 5 Action Express Coyote-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Joao Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi, Sebastien Bourdain and Burt Friselle. The 16th and final caution of the race bunched the field up for an eight-minute sprint to the flag, so the first place getter finished just 1.4 seconds ahead of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Dallara-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Max Angelelli. Third place went to Brian Friselle in the No. 9 Action Express Chevrolet Corvette DP, 20 seconds down. Chevrolet power hasn't taken the overall win since 2003, eleven years later it scores a one-two-three-four. The No. 6 Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing ORECA-Nissan 03 scored fifth place, the top LMP2 finisher.
The Prototype Challenge class win went to the No. 54 CORE Autosport team of Colin Braun, Jon Bennett, Mark Wilkins and James Gue.
