This is a very straight nice builder, car has been in dry storage since 1982. Needs complete restoration, pictures describe car. Not all rusted away. Under side clean and solid. Will need front floor pans. What you see is what you get. Rear seat there, front seat missing. Door panels and chrome there. Dash there. Please ask questions. Will help with shipping etc. No return on down payment after auction ends. I have described the car to the best I can. These are hard to find that haven t been bonded up etc.. Have new tinted windshield that goes with car, needs side glass. It rolls easy. Set up for standard shift, clutck pedal there. GM 6.2L V8 claims most powerful light-duty truck engine title
Thu, 12 Sep 2013General Motors has officially captured the horsepower crown for mainstream pickup trucks with its 6.2-liter V8. The big mill, available in both the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, comes to market with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, handily outdoing its two cross-town competitors, Ram (5.7-liter V8, 395 ponies and 407 lb-ft) and Ford (6.2-liter V8, 411 hp and 434 lb-ft).
The new GM 6.2 will take a bit of an investment, though. Those that want the extra thrust will need to go with either the LTZ or High Country trims from the Chevy, or the SLT and Denali trims from GMC, which are the two highest trim levels for the respective vehicles. Trim levels aside, if you're in the business of towing, GM has you covered. Optioned with the 6.2-liter V8 and the Max Trailering Package, owners will be able to pull 12,000 pounds, a hugely impressive figure.
We still aren't certain as to what sort of economy the new engine will get, but it'll probably be a bad bet for the fuel conscious. As for availability, expect to see the 6.2-liter trucks in showrooms later in the fall.

Chevy Corvette gets Valet Mode with Performance Data Recorder [w/video]
Mon, 18 Aug 2014For the 2015-model-year, Chevrolet introduces Valet Mode for the Corvette, an enhancement to the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) already available and to your peace of mind. The PDR already captures 720p HD video with a windshield-mounted camera, records interior audio with a cabin microphone and gathers telemetry data using GPS, saving the data to an SD card in the glovebox. You can then watch your track-day antics with various information overlays on the center console screen.
Valet Mode will let you hit 'Replay' when your car gets pulled up front smelling vaguely of fricasseed clutch. Turned on by entering a four-digit code, it also locks the interior storage spaces and turns off the infotainment system. It can't be turned off until the code is re-entered.
